Warner Bros. Japan opened an official website for an original anime movie titled Bubble on Tuesday, revealing the main staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), and trailer. The movie is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Netflix on April 28, and in Japanese theaters on May 13.

Synopsis
In a Tokyo where gravity has broken, a boy and a girl are drawn to each other...

The story is set in Tokyo, after bubbles that broke the laws of gravity rained down upon the world. Cut off from the outside world, Tokyo has become a playground for a group of young people who have lost their families, acting as a battlefield for parkour team battles as they leap from building to building.

Hibiki, a young ace known for his dangerous play style, makes a reckless move one day and plummets into the gravity-bending sea. His life is saved by Uta, a girl with mysterious powers. The pair then hear a unique sound audible only to them.

Why did Uta appear before Hibiki? Their encounter leads to a revelation that will change the world. (Source: Netflix)

Actor Jun Shison (Gokushufudou live-action) is starring as Hibiki. Other voice actors joining the cast includes Mamoru Miyano (Bungou Stray Dogs), Yuuki Kaji (Boku no Hero Academia), and Tasuku Hatanaka (SK∞).

The madman Urobuchi is involved. Say no more, I’m already very interested. Looks like an all-star team here, too. Hopefully it doesn’t flop.

In my memory, he always wrote a great story, even on shows that were a one-off project or advertised games, so I hope it will be something good.

Only I alone did not understand why they advertise an all-star all-male cast with a female character?

Now THIS is HYPE even if we know little about it so far ;D

The staff is indeed stacked hard but I wished it was tv series rather than a movie because I feel there already has been lot of anime movies produced with similar premise to the point not even changing the setting will make any different.

Urobuchi better not give us half-baked product.

Last time this happened, we got Aldnoah Zero.

Can't really blame him for Aldnoah since he only directly wrote the first half (Which was the only good part of that series imo) of it

Those are certainly some bombastic names. That said, Araki has never made a good original anime and the synopsis and trailer give me a vibe of a trainwreck. It does look pretty though. Still, I am looking forward to see what Araki and Urobucher bring to the table this time.

What the fuck?

Tetsurou Araki + Gen Urobuchi + Sawano Hiroyuki + Obata + Wit Studio

This is like the ultimate anime staff team + Studio combination you will ever find

Yet another animation-first-nothing-second production. Waste of time. And that parkour scene killed even the tiniest bit of interest I had left, no sense of momentum or weight.

This sounds like Patema Inverted but with fucking bubbles.

Exactly what came to mind. Upside down shit is old hat.

Araki is finally involved in something. Except Urobuchi, the staff looks excellent. The teaser was great for the most part but then the running sequence took place, like it looked really cool in Aot and Kabanerri but now it's just not working out.

That teaser only show case it's fluid animation and beautiful music. There was hardly any character interaction don't come up with a fair conclusion just by seeing 1 min teaser.

Not sure what u mean....is this the first time u are watching a anime teaser?
Anyways I don't really get what the problem is here...I just commented on what I felt after viewing the news... Now sure why u need comprehensive definition of each and every thing I said
No I think you are the one who is first time watching anime teaser.

Already mentioned in my comment Expelled from Paradise. More like post apocalypse with less no supporting cast or extremely minimal focus. Anyways its more of intuition rather than actual bulletin category.

"Plus trailer look kind of empty of characters"

•What do you mean by empty of characters?

"I don't think I like that kind of atmosphere"

• Have you seen any anime with this kind of atmosphere before?
