I'm pretty cautious about this one. It looks like a Guilty Crown clone.

My mind when I see the new KV: "Country roads, take me home to the place where I belong."

Kanno is from Studio Live, a subcontracting/outsourcing studio that have been working with Madhouse since a long time (both the director and the character designer of HxH 2011 are from Studio Live). MAPPA and VOLN producers carried those connections since they've been working with them when they were at Madhouse. So yeah only the color designer is actually from MAPPA.

I stand corrected. I almost forgot that Studio Live connection at all. Come to think of it, even Hayashi himself is (or was?) under Studio Live.

With all things considered, this is essentially a Madhouse show. This might be another Sarazanmai situation after all.
Yes correct. Hayashi was under Studio Live before fully moving to MAPPA.

So far it does look like another Sarazanmai situation, but I heard rumors that each studio handled 6 eps so we'll see...

Based on the staff lineup, it looks like the majority of the core staffers are current Madhouse regulars. The only ones from MAPPA are Kanno and Suenaga.

Either this will be another Sarazanmai where Lapin Track did most of the weightlifting and had almost little involvement from MAPPA outside renting Lapin Track some of their office space, or another case of Hajime no Ippo wherein episodes were evenly distributed and worked together by both studios.

We'll see.

Ever since this was announced at that MAPPA event a few months back, I knew that I was going to like this, so to see the staff working on this now, I'm even more excited to watch this next season

Did they seriously name a pair of characters "Heaven" and "Hell?" Isn't that a bit too on the nose?

Very good VAs, decent musicians, but still a bit sceptical on the staff. Interesting art, though, very different to the previous promo, I imagine it'll be road-trip style, then?

The story might go either way but the animation is something worthy to watch, the trailer already blasted
