'Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya' Anime Series Sequel in Production

The stage greeting event commemorating the premiere of the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya Movie: Licht - Namae no Nai Shoujo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya - Licht Nameless Girl) anime film announced a sequel for the series on Sunday. The film opened in theaters in Japan on Friday.

Mai Kadowaki (Illya), Kaori Nazuka (Miyu), Rie Kugimiya (Beatrice), Sumire Morohoshi (Erika), and Natsuki Hanae (Julian) attended the event at the TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo.

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya adapts Hiroshi Hiroyama's action fantasy alternative setting spin-off, the first installment of which ran in Comp Ace from September 2007–November 2008. The second manga ran in the same magazine between April 2009 and March 2012. Hiroyama began drawing the third and latest installment—Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!—in May that year. Kadokawa published the 12th volume on May 26.

Silver Link. adapted the manga into four television anime in four consecutive Summer seasons from 2013 to 2016. Crunchyroll simulcast each season as they aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks distributed the first three seasons on home video in North America in September 2014, February 2016, January 2017, respectively.

The Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya Movie: Sekka no Chikai (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Vow in the Snow) prequel anime film premiered in Japan in August 2017, grossing over 270 million yen (approximately US$2.5 million). A theatrical original video anime subtitled Prisma☆Phantasm premiered in June 2019. Sentai Filmworks plans to release both anime installments on home video last July.

lmao the manga plot has become really serious since 6 years ago and it has become a proper Fate story, which I find wonderful (the latest episode released a few days ago drives this point further and created quite some controversy. It will surely be covered in this next movie after Licht). A ton of loli fans are clamoring for the lewd scenes to be back and claim they don't want any serious plot, and yet there's somebody saying something like this on the other end smh. Don't know what's your reasoning but if you haven't read/watched the latest entries then your impression is probably seriously outdated.

Entirely expected, Prisma has shown no sign of stopping any time soon.

I think this stretch might take it up to Tanaka's reveal, unless I'm forgetting events between that and what Licht adapted?

Wow, another sequel already?
Although, will this be another movie because 3rei got pretty close to where the manga was at the time and the manga has been pretty slow as well; also the Licht movie just came out.
