'Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!' Announces Main Staff, Cast, 2 Cours Broadcast

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Wakame Konbu's Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) manga revealed on Friday the main staff, cast, and first key visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to air on August 1 at 2:00 a.m. on TV Asahi and ABC TV's ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block and will run for two consecutive cours.

Jahy: Naomi Oozora (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!)
Tenchou (Store Manager): Ai Kayano (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!)
Oya (Landlady): Youko Hikasa (New Game!)
Druj: Kana Hanazawa (Gabriel DropOut)
Salwa: Mikako Komatsu (Edens Zero)
Kyouko Jinguu: Sumire Uesaka (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san)
Kokoro: Yui Ogura (Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden (TV))

Ogura is also performing the opening theme for the first cour "Fightin★Pose." The track will be released on August 11 as her 14th single.

Konbu began serializing the supernatural sitcom manga on Monthly Gangan Joker in August 2017. Square Enix published the sixth volume last April. The publisher also licensed the manga in English under its Manga & Books imprint in November 2019 and will ship the first volume on July 20.

2 cours is surprising for a simple show like this, though the premiere date may suggest like To Your Eternity's weird late release (or D4DJ for that matter).

Nonetheless, happy to hear Satania's VA again.

No idea for now. could be a weird 20 episodes like Fumetsu no Anata e since its starting at an unusual date. So far we just know its gonna keep airing in Fall.

You know, in manmga PV Yuuki Aoi voiced Jahi. So I wonder igf they had not enough money to add her to such a star seiyuu pool or is she just busy?

Yui Ogura back to singing OP themes again is a nice sign of things to come, that might be a CD I should pick up. Also Uzaki's VA voicing Jahy should be pretty good.

Ooh so Uzaki's VA is gonna voice Jahy, and damn everyone else are solid seiyuus, putting them in a room together should be fun. Also I literally rubbed my eyes when I saw that it's gonna start on August, like what the hell.

But hey I'm excited for this anime, and it's 2-cour, so it'll be a lotta fun.

With this I have two questions.
1) Will it be split cour or 24 continuous episodes?
2) Will each episode be half length like 12 minutes long or the standard 23 minutes?
