Manga 'Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru' Gets TV Anime

This year's 19th issue of Young Gangan magazine announced a television anime adaptation of Shinichi Fukuda's Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling) manga on Friday.

Synopsis
Traumatized by a childhood incident with a friend who took exception to his love of traditional dolls, doll-artisan hopeful Wakana Gojou passes his days as a loner, finding solace in the home ec room at his high school. To Wakana, people like beautiful Marin Kitagawa, a trendy girl who's always surrounded by a throng of friends, is practically an alien from another world. But when cheerful Marin—never one to be shy—spots Wakana sewing away one day after school, she barges in with the aim of roping her quiet classmate into her secret hobby: cosplay! Will Wakana's wounded heart be able to handle the invasion from this sexy alien?! (Source: Square Enix Manga)

Fukuda began serializing the romantic comedy manga in Young Gangan in January 2018. Square Enix published the sixth volume last November, with the seventh volume scheduled for release on April 24.

Square Enix licensed the manga in English under its Manga & Books imprint in July 2019. The third volume went on sale on December 29 last year, and the fourth volume will ship on June 8.

So happy to hear this is getting an anime. One of my favorite series thus far. Extremely enjoyable and wholesome manga.

Happy this will get adapted...if only we weren't getting the umpteenth adaptation where they adapt like the first 20 chapters of the manga where basically nothing happens, and the manga has twice, thrice or ten times the content already out :S

I just started reading this recently and enjoy it a lot so far. Marin is such a cutie, seeing her animated is going to be great <3 I love her interactions with Gojou, they're so cute together.

Self insert MCs has been here since forever, dont expect this to be any different. The main focus is cosplay and the blonde chick in that cosplay, the MC is just there to move manga panel blocks.

For Kitagawa-san, I might be ok with Ayane Sakura, but I believe there´s someone better.

For Gojou-kun, I think Yoshimasa Hosoya could be the one.

Despite them both being overused todaty I think Ayane SAkura or Harika Tomatsu can do just fine. Agreed aboiut MC but I am sure they'll get someone yonger.

Sweet news, I have given a few sneak peeks on the manga at different times and I was always interested in reading it, but there is such an enormous amount of stuff to read/watch nowadays...

Hope they keep the spice on the adaptation.
