No, that's the best part about a long-running franchise: Stand-alones!

I guess the netflix Godzilla movies were popular enough they wheeling out the big for more action. Have to say though, I did enjoy the three movies and they certainly got wild by the end!

Ooh I'm excited. Hopefully they'll include a bunch of other kaijus too and not just Godzilla.

This looks promising although I'm not familiar with the guy writing it.

Oh, so Bones isn't dead. I was wondering what was the last show form them I saw, but turns out I didn't realize they made Mob Psycho. Still, the last memorable title from Bones was Concrete Revolutio. Not expecting much, especially with director and scriptwriter like that.

Bones is doing stuff huh

Bones + Orange + a Ghibli staff member ?

I'm in, that will be the first Godzilla story I'll watch

@Lil-Bird Ah right, fair enough. Hopefully, both the projects will be good enough to earn our liking.

You make a good point there with the addition of this to Ultraman and etc., I wonder what next Netflix will be looking to cover...

“The only thing 2021 missed was a Godzilla anime” - Lol, I’m surprised to not see a comment like this yet.

Well because we have GvK coming out lol. I am taken aback that a Godzilla TV anime is even happening, but guess with the Ultraman anime, it should've been a no-brainer. But definitely gonna be remaining cautiously optimistic with this one even though it's really hard to screw up Godzilla, TriStar notwithstanding.

Is this going to be as boring as Urobuchi's Godzilla?

Urobuchi is an edgelord who have only made two good series: Fate/Zero and Psycho Pass. It doesn´t surprise me that everything else he makes is either bad or mediocre.

well dont forget Madoka Magica and Expelled From Paradise

but ye his Godzilla trilogy movie is so bad lol too much philosophical dialogues not enough monster action

Well, Godzilla is always hype, even when he have some really bad stuff over there, but Bones is very good at animation and the character designs seem good, so let´s hope for the best.
