During Capcom's Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online livestream on Sunday, the company announced a CG anime series for the Biohazard (Resident Evil) video game franchise, titled Biohazard: Infinite Darkness (Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness). The anime is scheduled to stream worldwide on Netflix in 2021.

Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Biohazard: Vendetta) is producing and supervising the series. Studio Quebico and TMS Entertainment will produce the anime.

Capcom published the first Biohazard (Resident Evil) in 1996 on Playstation and spawned multiple sequels, spin-offs, and remakes over the years. The company recently released the Biohazard 3 (Resident Evil 3) remake on April 3 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Biohazard Village (Resident Evil Village), the tenth major installment in the series and direct sequel to Biohazard 7: Resident Evil (Resident Evil 7: Biohazard), is scheduled to be released in 2021 on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The franchise received an original video anime in 2006 and three feature films in 2008, 2012, and 2017.

It's funny to think about RE 7 being called Biohazard: Biohazard but no it's just Biohazard 7

In Japan, RE7 is known as "Biohazard 7: Resident Evil" lol.

If it has the same quality as that burger in the first scene of RE 2 then I am in!

Also forgot that Resident Evil is called Biohazard in Japan. It's funny to think about RE 7 being called Biohazard: Biohazard but no it's just Biohazard 7

Does anyone have an idea when is it going to take place? Probably sometimes after the 2nd game, right?

Resident Evil, Yakuza, The World Ends With You, videogamechads... it must be our time.

Damn, I still want a good Sonic anime.

I actually liked the very first live action Resident Evil movie. If it turns out good, I might watch this. Wonder if they'll bring back Matt Mercer as Leon

I’m getting mixed feelings with this. Let’s see how this turns out.

Not really a fan of any of the many CGI RE movies, and yet I'm pretty excited about this proyect for some reason.

I haven't watched any of the animated content nor have I played the games but I have seen the first of the Hollywood Film series and quite enjoyed it, so here's to hoping this'll be a hit.

I knew there was going to be at least one anime announcement in the 3-day Tokyo Game Show, and here it is!

CG looks pretty awful though, I must say.

What is wrong with the CG it looks fine to me this looks interesting to me.
Yea, I agree..I feel like the anime community hates anything CGI, at this point because this doesn't even look anywhere near bad. Capcom's CGI RE movies have ALWAYS looked good and high budget.

They're entertaining to watch. They're better than those awful live-action RE movies, that's for sure. I didn't pay attention to the story though because it takes place between RE5 and 6 and I don't give a shit about RE5 and 6's story.
