Main staff, character designs, and the first promotional video of Fumetsu no Anata e (To Your Eternity) were revealed on the anime series' official website on Tuesday. The television anime will air in 20 episodes every Monday at 10:50 p.m. on NHK-E beginning this October.

Masahiko Murata (Baby Steps, Tsukumogami Kashimasu) is directing the anime at Brain's Base (Natsume Yuujinchou, Kyokou Suiri). Shinzou Fujita (Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii, Pokemon XY script) is in charge of the series composition. Koji Yabuno (Uchuu Kyoudai, 91 Days animation director) is designing the characters. NHK and its subdivision NHK Enterprises are co-producing the anime.

Fushi
Fushi is the name given to an immortal being that is able to change his form. Fushi is also the name given to his male human form. This form was taken from the "nameless boy."

Joan
The nameless boy's dog companion. The dog dies and the immortal being takes its form.

March
March is a young girl from Ninannah and Fushi's "mother."

Fumetsu no Anata e adapts Yoshitoki Ooima's supernatural fantasy manga, which began its serialization in Weekly Shounen Magazine in November 2016. Kodansha published the 12th volume on January 17.

Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English in 2017 and simultaneously publishes new chapters with the Japanese release. The 11th volume shipped on December 17 last year.

Almost dropped my phone when I saw they released a PV! I'm so hyped for this! I like the character designs so far and seems like a good studio. Fall needs to come sooner!

Unfortunately after Tonari's arc it turns to mediocrity, it had so much potential and a strong start to boot but it leaves everything in favor to become an other battle shounen and a really bad one.

I disagree.
Bon’s arc was extremely satisfying

Sadly Bon's arc felt pretty weak to me specially compared to the previous ones, but you're not completely wrong at least it wasn't as disastrous as the next one, well that's where I wish I can get my time back.

I think Fushi's design is a bit too underwhelming and simple. The dog is good. However, March is just absolutely perfect!!

I hope fushi looks better in the anime. The promo didn't show him as much.

The transformations look awesome! I can't wait.

Finally, Brain's Base might do something good and memorable afters 6 years of doing forgettable and bad stuff.

Never have I been so excited for an anime adaptation. This is one of my favorite manga series of all time, and I've always said that of it ever got an anime, it will blow people's minds. Now, I get to see it actually happen. This is the next big series everyone will love!

The trailer looks good. I remember reading the first volume ages ago. This seems to really capture the style too which is nice.

So are there two immortal beings in this story - the boy and the dog? Or there’s only one immortal being taking two forms?

Looks fantastic, and 20 episodes!

Brain's Base have been a part of some great shows over the years and I pray this will be one of them. PV looks stunning though so that's a wonderful first sign! Good to see Kenjirou Tsuda on board with this as well.

Yoshitoki Oima's first TV Anime, let's go!

This looks so promising!!!

The fact alone that studio Brain's Base is working on this makes me feel so relieved. This series is in good hands.
These are the guys that gave us Durarara, Baccano, Oregairu season 1, Blood Lad, and the anime film Hotarubi no Mori e.
I'm really happy. Not to mention the PV itself looks great.

Also, I definitely recognize the narrator's voice in this PV. That's definitely Kenjirou Tsuda! (Fango from 91 Days, but more recently known for voicing Sakaido from ID:INVADED and Overhaul from My Hero Academia)
It's funny since he was my dream cast for voicing Bon, because of his roles as Fango from 91 Days and Masaki Kobayashi from Domestic na Kanojo. I really felt like he'd be a perfect fit for Bon.

EDIT: LOOK AT MY BOY GUGU
