In previous years I had already heard about the majority of the things on the lists and I was interested in reading most of them/or I already read a lot of them and was pleasantly impressed, or on the older lists, as I checked out more and more stuff I was very pleasantly surprised since I really found a lot of enjoyable stuff that was fantastic. This year, after quickly looking at the raws for the entire list, I can't say I was impressed, there's a lot of really short experimental looking stuff and I can't say much of it interested me. Also in this year's list, in the male section, I had already heard and tried most of the manga on there and and most of them didn't really leave the strongest impression on me, a lot of them are quite good, but not quite on par with the offerings from previous years + there are a too many things that were on previous lists.

Sadly enough, it is the weakest Manga ga Sugoi I've seen in years.
I hope next year there be more promising and interesting manga.

Super happy to see Spy x Family up at the top, it is SO good. I'm in love with it and can't wait for the physical English release next summer!

CGDCT is otaku culture and popular mainly among anime fans people who follow late night anime scene. Manga is much more than otaku culture.

CGDCT is more popular in animated format actually. Just like Josei in Live Action format while shoujo is more popular in magazines.

This is nothing new. Some of the CGDCT stuff sell tens of thousands of volumes in BD/DVD format while battle shounen usually manages few thousands. Yet in the manga format, you'll see this the other way around where battle shounen stuff selling millions while CGDCT selling in tens or at best in hundreds of thousand range.
