'Promare' Anime Film Announces Cast, Additional Staff for May 2019 Premiere

The official website of Studio Trigger and XFLAG's Promare anime film revealed cast, additional staff, and the second promotional video on Wednesday. Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) with Kazuki Nakashima (Kill la Kill) in charge of script, the anime film will open in theaters in Japan in May 2019.

Despite the PV looking good... egh after the big scandal between DarliFra and Gridman (for two entirely different reasons) I'm concerned about watching this. Though honestly my anticipation got killed generally for my disinterest in the installment + the things related to the complaints of the Big 3 projects for Trigger.

Note: I still had some sort of... egh expectations to begin with at least this project. Not because I'm doubtful towards Imaishi, but it just looks like something that I won't entirely enjoy. The entire deal with the projects killed my interest since people were just bashing things left and right without any sort of actual meaning behind it if you catch my drift. Or even criticize it for that manner... so yeah.

I will see if I can give it a shot later on but for now I'm most likely gonna pass. At least for now.

Sound director? He never did that. The music is from him but the sound direction is always done by other person.

I’m aware of that, I was hoping for a change of pace in his (already) illustrious career. I read from some random source a month or so back that he’d finally become the Sound Director for this movie, and have since been hyping over it. I don’t usually pay attention to info from such kind of sources but this was too good that I convinced myself straight away it was true.
Hence, the little disappointment as I mentioned above.

Sound Director/Designer is different to Composer. Sound Director directs VA and sound effect. Composer make OST and Insert Song.

Hopefully, this will be just as good as SSSS. Gridman, if not better!

I was sure the Sound Director would be Sawano Hiroyuki for this upcoming movie but well he’s still around for the music so not totally disappointed here. Director of TGGL too, so it definitely has a great staff behind the scenes! Only worry is the little CG details in the key teaser, but I’m sure Trigger will get it right no doubt!

I have reservations about this thing. It has potential but the 3D graphics seem like a cheap version of standard Trigger.
