That is, people rather did not buy a separate anime, but a product for their favorite game?

Yes, I mean the anime is hardly talked about among even anime community and poorly received among the Bandori players.

My guess is the "disc sales" would not be very different numbers without anime discs tbh.

Calling these numbers anime sales is very misleading in the first place

Thank you for the clarification. Apparently I'm too used to the fact that adapting my favorite vn is usually more known than the games themselves.

Nine thousand? I do not understand why this generic moe slice of life earned more than more quality work with cute girls.

The sales is mostly based on the Game's popularity and live concert.
The anime is very obscure or few people watched it in Japan but the Game is very popular in Japan(currently ranked 20th in mobile game ranking on google play).
The same reason why glandblue fantasy sold 30k per volume

Not that much of a drop from Vol.1 to Vol.2 compared to S1, considering Vol.1/2 of S1 also had event tickets. Or Vol.1 started lower than expected since it has added on almost 20k since week 1, compared to 17k for S1. It's still a huge decline regardless. The average will still hold up though as there are event tickets from Vol.3~6.

Was the Sabo episodes that good? Interesting enough if they were but then again....One Piece.

13. *2,226 **2,226 Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou Vol.1

Not bad. Deserves more tho.

Jan 30, 2018 3:07 PM by Stripes

The LL Sunshine seiyuu's were playing Bang Dream too so it got some good exposure.

Higher than I thought it'd be, maybe there's a chance for some ovas.
17. *1,654 **1,654 Imouto sae Ireba Ii. Blu-ray BOX 1

Nice, Season 2 of Mahouka could happen in the future, we can only hope.

We need more Onii-sama

Jan 30, 2018 2:56 PM by PolarCyrus97

Nice the mahouka movie is selling well, hoping the NA release comes out soon.

Jan 30, 2018 1:48 PM by -Mahesvara

Princess Principal is performing pretty well. I'm hoping the event in April will give the franchise more anime.

Jan 30, 2018 11:48 AM by Stark700

15. *1,789 **1,789 Yama no Susume: Omoide Present

You mean a single episode OVA was able to sell this much? That's actually pretty good lol.

Jan 30, 2018 8:43 AM by Tarotist

I like the leg fetish on Love Live covers xD

Great for Bang Dream, it was the first idol anime I watched and I liked it very much.

Shoujo Shuumatsu and New Game deserve more but at least they're there.

hmmm.. LLS number doesnt looks good,, and it's still include lottery code right?? anyway Vol 1's numbers seems consistence with S1... so idk,, maybe the number will be as good as S1 in few weeks.. still,, look like they're need to struggle a little bit to surpass S1 average..

Jan 30, 2018 5:52 AM by shutale_3981

Good for SSR but the manga is done... so why does it matter? ;_;

Maybe a chance for a 3-4 ep. ending ova?

@NeoAnkara Oh, I do not claim to music or art, it's clearly done with love. I just do not understand why another fanservice adaptation of mobile game with cute fake-lesbian girls is more successful than the work of people who really worked hard on the characters and plot.
I won't say the anime do the franchise justice since at the end of the day it is just another part of the multimedia project. The strongest main part of franchise is on game and live stage.

Also you are discrediting something that you haven't seen too much as if you cannot apply the "fake lesbian" label on the show you are also quoting.

This is several old project and a lot of love are poured into character too.

I just know why yuri's writers are invited to adapt such projects in the anime and manga, and why such works are always extremely popular with shippers on Tumbler. In this case, given that the sexuality of girls or their crushes in such works will never be confirmed, so as not to scare off the fanboys of each of them.

In any case, I have nothing against purely entertaining moe titles. I just think this difference in sales is unfair.

Girls' Last Tour seems to be doing alright for a niche, small-budget series.
