I would like for any of these two to win:
1. Uchiage Hanabi, Shita Kara ka? Yoko kara Miru ka?
2. Detective Conan Movie 21: The Crimson Love Letter.

detective conan movie was very entertaining because more mistery focused then action focused like most conan movies which make it more closer to series (sadly with anoying romanc esubplot as well)... very enjoyable than last 2 movies or so... i am rooting for it TBH...

I have not seen any of these movies.

Interestingly Girls und Panzer das Finale, Kuroshitsuji Movie: Book of the Atlantic, Haikara-san ga Tooru Movie 1: Benio, Hana no 17-sai, Fate/stay night Movie: Heaven's Feel - I. Presage Flower, Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Movie: Hoshi wo Yobu Shoujo, SAO: Ordinal Scale were not nominated even though they are pretty mainstream in Japan.

I just realized I have seen only one anime movie from 2017!

They have Detective Conan on here, the people in charge of the Academy Prizes must be autistic

Yoru Wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome should be easily winning this one. The art and story just dominated it. Great soundtracks, great art, great character development. This particular anime movie is just another Morimi Tomihiko masterpiece. The unique art style just catches the scene beautifully. Really hoping this movie would win it all. On the other hand, I watched all of the movies. Uchiage Hanabi just disappointed everyone.

Lu sucked. It was a massive disappointment.

Uchiage Hanabi should win just cause it has Hitagi in it it looks visually appealing

I know it shouldn't be asked but where do you people watch these movies, can't find them on crunchyroll. Any legal ways?

Crunchyroll doesn't have a lot of the more 'lesser known' shows and movies. Don't think there really is any legal alternatives from what I know
Your best bet is probably to watch it from an 'illegal' site like gogoanime or kissanime

Hirune Hime: Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari & Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome were both good, i haven't watched the others, and if i had to choose one i hope Yuasa Maasaki wins ^^

Haven't watched any yet, going to see Mary later in the week though but they all look stunning. Except Conan tbh.

From the movie nominees I just see the only one worth winning would be Hime... have't checked Uchiage, the Yuasa film was pretty meh to me, no comment on Mary to Majo. So.

Yeah it'd be a crime is Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome doesnt win, I'm surprised Uchiage got nominated cause from everyone I hear that movie sucks.
Apparently the Japanese love it

Interesting list.

This reminds me to watch Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome soon. Heard good things about the film before.

Is that why Hitagi has no screentime because she's in a different movie other than gatari series?

Anyway, I might try to fit in those series to my PTW, but I doubt I'll watch all of them...

Doubt Uchiage Hanabi is going to win, probably the most unlikely. Haven't seen the others yet but I hope Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome wins.

Jan 15, 2018 6:32 AM by Samii

I'd say Yoru, Mary, or Hime to win.
