that would be epic tho i think.
but 40 min for 1 movie and 2 movie will be aired at the same time, i think that is a good news since they can take time with making the animation. i really expects more than the movie. looking forward for this shit xD
i think it's a good decision to split it. i think they want to make it look good so they think if they do it the usual way they probably think they would ruined it. so they split it.
DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Der Film was a masterpiece. If there are going to be those types of battles in the 6 parter, there will be more tears of joy.

I dont know it's true or not...
Actually, the info about the "GuP das Finale 6-part OVA series will consist of roughly 40 minutes each part" was revealed at the Oarai Anglerfish Festival last November 12, 2016 during the Girls und Panzer Talk event segment according to Director Tsutomu Mizushima. But it could still change when further info comes out in the coming months.

If, however, it's say, 50-min movies/OVAs then it won't feel like a coherent story as
a. it could be split into numerous OVAs, making the viewers wait on possible cliffhangers
b. we'd be looking at short stories-- one per OVA/movie-- which isn't necessarily bad but not the franchise's strong suit in my opinion. GuP works better with whole arcs respectively sagas
I'm a die-hard fan of the panzer girls but I've got a weird feeling about this project...

1)Their production has and will always be a mess. Delays for Long Riders, Regalia and GUP...If Final Chapter were a series and this were to happen then I'd rather get a movie
2)Movie-like Tank Battle Quality..HELL YEA!
6 Part Movies though? That's a lot :0..I'm pretty sure the duration of each movies are going to be similar to Kizumonogatari.
The BD is going to be an expensive beast, it's pretty much a full length anime release on it's own. Also what's up with finales being shown in theaters first these days?

I dont know it's true or not...
Dunno where but i also saw that each movie would be 40mins long, think i saw it on ANN or some twitter news. Well it would make sense since spliting it into 6parts of 40mins would be the same lenght as a 12ep tv series.
