'Girls und Panzer: Saishuushou' Anime Announced

It was announced at the 2nd Heartful Tank Carnival event today and on its official Twitter account that a sequel anime for the Girls und Panzer franchise titled Girls und Panzer: Saishuushou (Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter) is in production. The format for the anime is unknown at the moment. The announcement PV, which is currently not available online yet, also revealed some new characters. The BD and DVD sets for the 2nd Heartful Tank Carnival event will go on sale next year on February 24.

The first season ran for 12 episodes from October 2012 to March 2013. It has since been adapted into other various mediums including manga spin-offs, OVAs, and a movie.

I think they deserved to be in the PV at least as much as the first years and the volleyball girls. Unless they have some special reason to leave them out.

Well, popularity has nothing to do with being included in a trailer.

Since we're talking about teaser trailer here. The first teaser for the GuP movie doesn't include the Hippo team either.

Maybe Erwin was possibly saying bad things about the pres and had to be silenced, Caesar probably got betrayed and stabbed 23 times including by her best friend Capprichino, Saemonza was last seen defending a castle to her dying breath and Oryou probaby died from liver failure after recently becoming an alcholic.

Wowow, that's a bit too ominous. haha
Guess that's what happens when you give yourself a new name after some historical figure. =P

Besides it's just a teaser trailer, a proper trailer will come out when it's ready. This short trailer was shown just to let the fans know that new GuP anime content is coming even if it's "ending".

I think it's just a new side/background character that we may or may not get to know once this comes out. Haven't seen her in the previous TV series, OVA or movie.

The reporter character had appeared already in the series during episode 10. Her name is Taiga Ou.

Who knew cute girls doing tank battles could be so entertaining? :)
