I am so happy that you enjoyed it! It is one of my favorites as well. I was afraid you might be put off by the weird plot and decide not to try it but I'm really glad you went ahead and gave it a try. I recommended this before to someone and he looked at the trailer, thought it was stupid and didn't want to check it out. Really cool that you didn't think that and just went with it! I hope you will enjoy Death Note as well.

I am glad you liked it! It is quite addicting. I finished watching Pupa which was ... something and also Danganropa. It was good but not brilliant or anything. A lot more could have been better but still an enjoyable show. Currently watching the other two you recommended. We'll see how it goes.

Damn, hope Chobits' air date (2002 was it?) won't discourage you from watching it, I enjoyed it despite it being old
It had ecchi/fanservice (but not over the top) + nice romance story
