Considering the crap that they're willing to dub these days, I'd say this is one of their more sensible choices as of late. Kinda wish Nichijou got one though. I would say that was because of age but Gosick is even older. It's probably because Nichijou is more niche and harder to dub.

Yoooo let's ride this wave and get Gosick RED adapted to anime!

Hopefully Funimation keeps all the OSTs of Gosick in the dub because they're awesome.
I don't see any reason why they'd change it. It's not a kid's show and this isn't 1995.

Not that common with English Dub shows - but I started buying a few US/UK releases of anime a few month ago & 'm planning to get Gosick as well.

Lol, some people still actually complains about the dub.
As if FUNimation won't include the original track with English subs.

I agree I'm pretty sure every anime now a days if you buy the DVD/Blu-ray if theirs a dub on it, it'll also have subs on their too.

I'm more of a dubber myself but say I wanted to change it to subs (if I was able to follow them) easy enough to do.

(and sorry for butting in on your comment)

Well I might have to check this out :) I've heard some good stuff about it but haven't been able to watch it since it was subbed only so maybe now I'll be able to watch it now :)

I'll consider giving the dub a try after I finally get around to finishing it subbed.

Gosick is one of the best anime I ever seen. But I prefer english subs over dub

Damn now I feel like I wasted money on the BD box

Wow, this could be a good excuse for me to watch Gosick again if I'm able to stand the english dub at all, good to see it'll get some love with this.

Isn't Gosick like 6 years old?

Releasing it now doesn't make any sense.

This series was originally licensed by Bandai Entertainment. Bandai then pulled out of the anime business and a lot of their licenses went on limbo. However, Funimation managed to revive most of their licensed series. Gosick was one of them.

I mean't on how no one but the fans would watch it. Given that anyone interested when it aired has probably seen it already subbed. in all this time.

I was planning to watch this series next week but now, I know what I'm watching at the end of May.

Wonderful series! I was sad when the sub disappeared from Crunchyroll. With their partnership I hope the sub shows up there again. Dubs aren't my cup of tea but I hope more people get to enjoy the series with the dub on Funimation.

This is a rescue license, that's why they're late though they must have picked it up right after the past licensor let it expire. As to why it takes so long to release them, I'm not sure if they're just spacing them out or if there are legal issues or what. Negotiating for a dub might take time.
