'Strike the Blood II' Additional Cast Announced

Additional cast members for the upcoming OVA series Strike the Blood II have been revealed in a newly released promotional video. Theme song performers for the series were also announced in addition to the cast.

Yume Eguchi: Nao Touyama (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku)
Kiriha Kisaki: Yukiyo Fujii (Amagi Brilliant Park)

Opening Theme Song Performance: Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets
Ending Theme Song Performance: Yukina Himeragi (CV: Risa Taneda)

The four light novel volumes, to be released between November 23 and April 26, 2017, are expected to include two episodes each of the eight-episode OVA series, with the first two episodes to be included in the 16th light novel volume.

The light novel series previously received an anime adaptation in Fall 2013, produced by Silver Link. and Connect. Two additional episodes were released at the end of 2015. The series is currently licensed in North America by Yen Press, with the third volume of the series released in May of this year.

Wasnt expecting the series to receive aditional episodes, even the OVA took me by surprise, while I wanted a S2 to progress the story normally, since there was alot of hype about vol 7, and the LN isnt translated... but getting more is itself good. Maybe a S2 after this one?

The OVAs have been solicited. They are being released standalone, not with light novel volumes which explains why it seemed too fast for 4 novels to come out. Coming November 23 and December 21 2016 and March 29 and April 26 2017, ¥6800 each for BD or DVD, 2 episodes each. Comes with a booklet with a short novel and manga, perhaps that is why it was thought to come with a light novel. Also comes with audio commentary for one of the episodes.
