That's why I posted the release schedule of the 3 trio unit singles in my post there.

I don't think they have announced it at the wrong time, because µ's is ending on April 1. They would be foolish not to capitalise on the momentum Aqours currently has due to the announcement of the anime adaptation, all the Nico Nico live broadcasts, and the opening of a new gamers store (where Aqours were special guests). µ's may be indirectly helping them, since the Love Live fanbase is very big, but Aqours will be on their own after April 1. The good thing is that Aqours will be added into the mobile game soon, so at least they have 2 pillars to lean on for now (mobile game and anime). The only thing left is to pump out enough songs so that they can have their 1st live concert, thereby completing the 3 pillars needed to succeed as we saw with µ's.

Thank you for this.. Can you give me statistical information about the fandom of aqours right now? Like how many watched their recent namas, how many voted for their sub unit names and so forth. I would really love to see how far this new group can go. I am hoping they can even outshine muse ( I love muse but if they can outshine the originals, then it is a healthier sign for the entire franchise)

To be honest, I think Aqours has a very steep slope to climb to reach the heights of what µ's did. The seiyuu of Aqours are under extreme pressure, because they have to perform to extremely high expectations right off the bat. Even Houkago Tea Time of K-ON! never had a concert as big as µ's had at Tokyo Dome, and they also had some very amazing CD sales numbers. Houkago Tea Time's largest concert was at the Super Saitama Arena in Stadium Mode in 2011, which seats around 37,000 people. Houkago Tea Time also never made it to Kouhaku, which is the dream for many music artists. NANJO Yoshino (Eli's seiyuu) really cried during her fripSide Live on Dec 31st, because she could not perform with the rest of µ's at Kouhaku, and Kouhaku is really a once in a lifetime opportunity for non-mainstream artists.

The figures for the µ's Final Love Live have got to be just ridiculous... We know that the seating capacity of Tokyo Dome is around 55,000. The live concert ran for 2 days, so that's around 110,000 in attendance. But! That's not all, as the live concerts were also live streamed to 166 theaters in Japan, and in multiple countries around the world (I watched Day 2 live in Sydney Australia for example).

Here are the figures (this is apparently around 66% of the market, so they're higher by around 1.5x in reality) for just the live streams and the encore stream on Apr 2 in Japan, as we don't officially know the exact number that attended at Tokyo Dome yet:

デイリー上映25分前販売数合計ランキング:20160402

*3 *39139 *60153 *204 166 ****** ラブライブ!μ’s Final LoveLive!~μ’sic Forever♪~

55,000 * 2 + (39,139 + 31,948) * 1.5 = around 216,630 in attendance over 2 days (not including the Encore stream).

I wish Aqours all the luck in the future, but it is looking like a monstrous task ahead for them. We however know monstrous growth is possible because µ's' 1st concert was at Yokohama BLITZ in 2012 which seats a small 1,700 people, and now 4 years later, they were at Tokyo Dome which seats a huge 55,000 people.

We can see the evolution in these pictures (in the spoiler tag) during the Snow Halation performance:

The Oshiete! Galko-chan OP single YPMA☆GIRLS didn't make the cut-off, ouch. A shame but wasn't expecting it to be a big performer. Good song in my book, got my copy ordered to come end of April (with BD).
