Anime Sales First Volume Sales

The usual bulk of anime are released within the penultimate and last weeks of the month, so it is rare to see releases over 10K at the start and middle of the months. No idea why distributors don't spread the releases out, but that's how the market works.

Looking at the releases for December, we have the Love Live Movie on December 15th, which will sell > 100K copies, and a low/mid-tier release such as the 2nd live for Idolmaster Million Live (<= 10K copies?). The rest should be in the penultimate and last week of December as I said. I don't see any other 10K+ releases in the start and middle of December, unless I missed something?

Its been out for a good while and it didn't get good reviews. K most likely won't get another season probably just manga spinoffs and LNs after this.

Yikes…

GoHands clearly animated K with an insane budget, and these sales don't help that fact.

Again:

I don't think BD/DVD sales matter all that much for K Project. It's still really popular enough to have manga spinoffs running in many magazines, more merchandise, the new otome game coming out etc.

It's still somewhat of a sharp drop from season 1 (averaged about 8k), but given the gap between the two seasons, it was expected.

I'll add a little more: This is just the first week. With the second week and extended lists, it could add get to ~4k.

P.S Some of you are ignoring the DVD sales. They're not much, but they're important too.

I'm not even sad. I watched the first few episodes and was kind of disappointed in this season. Oh well.
