Synopsis

With the introduction of strict new morality laws, Japan has become a nation cleansed of all that is obscene and impure. By monitoring citizens using special devices worn around their necks, authorities have taken extreme measures to ensure that society remains chaste.

In this world of sexual suppression, Tanukichi Okuma—son of an infamous terrorist who opposed the chastity laws—has just entered high school, offering his help to the student council in order to get close to president Anna Nishikinomiya, his childhood friend and crush. Little does he know that the vice president Ayame Kajou has a secret identity: Blue Snow, a masked criminal dedicated to spreading lewd material amongst the sheltered public—and Tanukichi has caught the girl's interest due to his father's notoriety.

Soon, Tanukichi is dragged into joining her organization called SOX, where he is forced to spread obscene propaganda, helping to launch an assault against the government's oppressive rule. With their school set as the first point of attack, Tanukichi will have to do the unthinkable when he realizes that their primary target is the person he admires most.

This anime really took the Ghost Stories dub approach of random vulgarity = funny. While it is amusing at first, it gets tiring quick.

The entire series is about a group of students faces with protecting immaturity in a censored Japan, and it's honestly really entertaining in the beginning. As the series progresses... however... it's really just a test of "how absurd do you think the publisher will let us go before we get censored?". It gets infuriating at times and ridiculously slow if you don't have the mentality of a middle schooler because of this.

However, the animation holds up extremely well, everything sounds quite nice, ...

Mixed Feelings
Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai is a comedic series heavily reliant on dirty jokes and gag humor. Unfortunately, most of the humor is rather juvenile and surprisingly mild, leading to repetitiveness throughout its 12-episode run. While the characters initially show promise with their unique motivations, they are never fully developed, and hinted relationships between them remain unrealized. The animation and character design are decent, contributing to the series' overall appeal. However, the anime cannot overcome the lackluster narrative and underwhelming character interactions. Although Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai may cater to viewers seeking dialogue filled ...

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Shimoneta, and honestly, I'm not sure if I succeeded. This anime had all the ingredients for a provocative, thought-provoking commentary on censorship and societal norms, but it ended up being a jumbled mess.

The premise is intriguing: a future Japan where all adult content is banned, and citizens are monitored 24/7 by "Public Morals" collars. But instead of exploring this concept deeply, the show devolves into a series of disjointed, cringeworthy episodes.

The narrative jumps all over the place, making it hard to follow or invest in the characters. It's like the writers threw a bunch of random scenes ...

Pervy Master Roshi Gets in Trouble With Broadcasting Watchdog

For many Dragon Ball fans, Master Roshi is an absolute legend! He's one of the coolest and most colorful characters in the Dragon Ball universe. However, this old man has a roaming eye that's easily distracted by the younger ladies, which can lead to more problems than simply a nosebleed.
