Overlord deserves a season 2. It makes me happy that it isn't MadHouse decision whether something gets another season or not. So, it's not Madhouse fault that No game no life or other animes that put out didn't/doesn't get another season?

I still dont get the hype over kekkia sensen. I dropped the series after giving it a try.

Some people may thought that Kekkai Sensen is just that one newcomer title that had incredible luck gaining all those sales because they never heard of it before.
While it is true that Kekkai Sensen is not that popular of a manga but Kekkai Sensen mangaka on the other hand is one hell of a famous guy, it's Yasuhiro Nightow, the creator of the popular series Trigun and Gungrave.
so going by the track record of the mangaka and how well received his work is in Japan, this level of sales in Kekkai Sensen is a given.

Eh not really.

7,058 Trigun Badlands Rumble (Madhouse)
1,255 Gungrave (Madhouse)

I don't know the sales of the original Trigun but I'd assume it didn't do well either. Yasuhiro Nightow's works were never received well in Japan. One of the reason why Kekkai Sensen actually did well was because of the female otakus and Rie Matsumoto's direction.

So good to see Kekkai Sensen on top.Hopefully this give it a chance to receive 2nd Season in near future.

And I keep sating that the studio is not relevant on its chances of getting a 2nd season.

its the first time i want to punch my screen trying to explain something on the internet.
i'm just done. you won.

Then what was your fucking point?

I know. -_-
I'm just sayin that usually we shouldnt expect much from madhouse in terms of sequels, even if they don't own it.

In madhouse case, its almost an event to see them doing a second season.
The only ones i remember getting a second season is Chihayafuru and Ace of diamond (with Production IG tho)
I think i'm forgetting 1 or 2 but i'm too lazy to search.

They don't own Overlord.

He's right. The studio doesn't mean much unless they were high up on the production committee.

13. **,588 **9,508 Overlord Vol.1
11. 1,094 *10,602 Overlord Vol.1

How did Overlord blu rays manage to sell 1K in week 4 despite selling only 588 in week 3 without any stock issues? I thought that the disc market was very frontloaded in Japan anyway so how can a series selling 8K in its first week still manage to sell up to 1k in week 4?

*1. 8,597 **8,597 Kekkai Sensen Vol.5

*4. 1,253 **8,081 Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Revolutions Vol.4 (CD Bundle)

This pleases me. Kekkai Sensen deserves those sales and I love to see my UtaPri boys doing fabulous as always.

*3. 3,928 **3,928 Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou Vol.2
*5. *,787 ***,787 Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou Vol.2

Just find that Madhouse did partly finance some amimes.

Madhouse did join the production committees of two animes: "One Punch man" and "Death Parade".

It is unknown whether Madhouse did partly finance "Overlord", though (the member list of "Overlord" production committee had not been revealed)
