Original Anime 'Luck & Logic' Announced to Air in Winter 2016

An official website has opened for an original TV anime and trading card game project titled Luck & Logic. The anime series will air from January 9, 2016, on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, Kyoto Broadcasting System, and other networks.

Luck & Logic is a joint project of content distributor Bandai Visual, trading card game producer Bushiroad, animation studio Doga Kobo, and music label Lantis.

Synopsis
In the year L.C. 922, mankind faces an unprecedented crisis. Following the conclusion of a hundred-year war on the mythical world of Tetraheaven, the losing Majins sought a safe haven and invaded the human world Septpia. The government is forced is fight by employing Logicalists belonging to ALCA, a special police that protects the streets from foreigners of another world. Logicalists are given a special power that allows them to enter a trance with Goddesses from the other world.

One day, Yoshichika Tsurugi, a civilian who is lacking "Logic" and lives peacefully with his family, meets the beautiful goddess Athena while helping people escape from a Majin attack. She wields the "Logic" that Yoshichika should have lost. This leads Yoshichika to an unexpected destiny with Athena.

The future of the world depends on the "Luck" and "Logic" and these Logicalists.

Seems like Bushiroad realized that shallow waifu pandering is the way to go if they want anything to sell.
This doesn't look particularly interesting, and that CG is just...eugh. I don't know what's happened to Dogakobo but lately they've been very mediocre.

The description says it's a joint venture between Bandai Visual, Lantis and Bushiroad and people are surprised it's a card game? Looks like they're unsurprisingly casting a lot of the virtual idols again. I see at 2 of Muse in the cast and one doing the theme song, but then again those two members also belong to Milky Holmes which is a Bushiroad title so no surprise they'd be here if the production committee could get them.

Anyway MAL is such a great judge of what is good and what isn't (all the same usual shitposters commenting here as per usual) they've clearly got this all figured out so obviously no point commenting or tuning in really when it's made the call. The parties should have brought a hook with them like surprise Gen Urobuchi script writing or Kalafina intro or something to trick people into watching an anime original card game commercial. I mean I saw Nitroplus name in the list of participating companies in the trailer.

Good to see Dogakobo on the works again. Storyline seems pretty ambitious if anything else. May/May not watch this depending on how it turns out when it starts airing.

Full Metal Panic!, Last Exile director and Space Battleship Yamato 2199 mecha designer sounds great to me. Also the School Live! original story creator is involved in the making of the setting with that excellent cast of female VAs has me very excited for this. More original anime is always welcome, going by the synopsis on ANN it has quite a bit of potential for a cool sci-fi/fantasy action series. Angels vs Humans and Goddesses plus seems like we'll be getting mecha and monsters.
