TV Anime of 'Nurse Witch Komugi-chan' Announced for Winter 2016

Animation studio Tatsunoko Production has announced a TV anime of its property Nurse Witch Komugi-chan. The series, titled Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R, will air from January 2016 on NTV and other networks.

Tatsunoko Production and Kyoto Animation co-produced the OVA titles Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magikarte in 2002 and Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magikarte Z in 2004. The series follows cosplay idol Komugi Nakahara who turns into Nurse Witch Komugi when trouble is around.

The series is also a parody of Tatsunoko's SoulTaker series and the magical girl genre.

I don't know how I feel about this. I remember liking the OVA since it was one of the first far fetch anime I watch with tons of anime culture satire.

In 2015, we have seen way too much of these anime so I am not sure

edit: They need to bring back Dokuro-chan.

But back on topic. I'm a bit disappointed they changed the MC for this. I liked original Komugi. But I'll check this out cause Kawaguchi can make a good comedy and I liked both Soul Taker and original OVAs.

Quoted for idem. I mean, why list Akio Watanabe to Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream when he's clearly much much much more infamous for things like Bakemono or at least Grisaia.
