The official website of Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito Final has announced that the fifth and final movie of the five-part anime project will be delayed. The movie was originally scheduled for Fall 2015, and will now premiere on February 6, 2016.

The first Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito movie was revealed in 2010 during the "Code Geass Kiseki no Birthday" live event. The movie premiered in 2012, with the first Blu-ray and DVD volumes selling 24,507 and 2,818 copies, respectively, during its first week on Oricon's weekly rankings.

The project was originally planned to be a four-part movie, however, Sunrise announced that a fifth movie was already under production, during the premiere of the third movie. The movies take place in the same universe as the original Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch.

Can't even be surprised at this point.

Just have to wonder what the fuck goes on behind the scenes that requires them to constantly delay this series as a whole.

Remember when it's Code Geass getting an OVA it's milking, when it's something like Bakemonogatari it's cause it deserves it. I know cause MAL tells me so and it's totally not selective assessments whatsoever. Honestly it's a damn OVA, they can take as long as they want, that's kind of the luxury of it. The quality is well above what we normally see in OVAs these days anyway.

Code Geass is anime original while monogatari is them making a anime for every part of the light novel.

Doesn't that confirm what he's saying even more?

EDIT: Actually, no it's not. My bad.

Sunrise Teases Next 'Gundam' Project

Expected this delay when I saw that news yesterday...

They only revealed the existence of the fifth movie not that long ago, and it has already been delayed? lol.

They sure like to take their time when it comes to these Akito movies. Should have been a TV series.

I bet episode 4 will end on some big cliffhanger too.

The cow fainted from so much milking.

You probably did not watch it (your list show that you never watched any of the code geass), and yet you call it milling

There is 1 year gap between R1 & R2, and this movie takes place between the two. Also, the European front did not play a big role in TV series, while this movie takes place in europe. It does not sound like milking to me, only tells us some of the events the took place between the first two seasons.

Yes they are worth watching. Also, this anime takes place between R1 & R2

There is someone called Julius Kingsley who has exactly same personality and voice actor as Lelouch

ohh okay, maybe I'll give it a try then. I just remember reading the synopsis for the first movie and it didn't seem all that interesting.

Haven't watched a single one of these. Are they worth watching? I liked Code Geass, but there's no Ledouche in this. Which is half the reason I enjoyed the series.

Anyway it makes me wonder whether they will make some kind of announcement at the end of it with next year being the tenth anniversary of the series.
