They just had two days of concerts at the Saitama Super Dome. Next concerts announced. New key visuals for season two are out... other than that, not much...

Does anyone who knows how to read Japanese tell me what the hell happened in the concert? Apparently according to yaraon something happened that's making a lot of love live fans not happy.

i hope noragami really does do fine, it deserves it, especially since i dont think bones has had a successful show in a few years, space dandy sales prediction is a bit better than i was expecting but it will still likley bomb which is a shame, though ill be pissed if nobunaga seriously sells better than it, im enjoying ntf but its a trainwreck of massive proportions that doesnt deserve to even pass the 1K mark, its only entertainment value is how bad it is

Can someone explain to me what the deal is with this guy? I've heard several people say things similar but I don't understand where it comes from.

Basically, he has a history of making controverisal statements and calling out people in public in ways he probably shouldn't. Though he hasn't really generated an easily satirized quote in the past 2 years (to my knowledge), he [in]famously declared that Fractale would save a dying anime industry prior to the season where Madoka came out.

Regardless of whether or not he's directing anime, he's still one of the head executives at Ultra Super Pictures, which did pretty well last season between KLK and Arpeggio of Blue Steel.

Unless there's some specific bit of proof that crowds of people aren't buying the TV show to spite him, I think it's much more plausible that aspects of the show itself made it into one of the ~50-60% of shows that most people didn't want to spend 30,000 yen on. By all accounts, he did fairly above-board PR for WUG.

Feb 10, 2014 9:45 AM by Torisunanohokori

I'm willing to forgive some poor sakuga in the TV anime but if I get disc one and it isn't improved then I will be disappointed. Usually I give the fast paced development of the weekly TV shows the benefit of doubt due to their schedule. Usually shows will fix stuff up later, though not always. Even shows like Little Busters! have left some glaring problems on the Blurays.

Feb 10, 2014 8:18 AM by hpulley

Usually I don't think the Japanese anime fans are that shallow but for Yamakan... perhaps they really do hold a grudge. But it is a bit odd, super cheap or not, that the movie may sell 5K copies and yet the series may then struggle to get 1.5K. He worked on both after all...

Feb 10, 2014 8:15 AM by hpulley

Why the heck is WUG not selling something that's sad? Series was doomed the moment Yamakan signed on, he carries so much baggage that I think it's better for him to leave the anime industry forever. Because any series with his name attached is guaranteed not to be taken seriously by anyone.

Feb 10, 2014 7:34 AM by scytheavatar

WUG movie has dropped which is too bad and v1 is nowhere, very sad. Season needs a buildup to some happy episodes to end it off or else it wil be a failure.

Happy for WCW though.

Feb 10, 2014 1:48 AM by hpulley

Wow great boost for WCW. Almost all volumes on the top 100. Really good stuff.
Dandy on the 300 spots again. Mikakunin high on the 60s.
I'm looking forward for a 5k WUG movie sales also. Hopefully. Stalker's estimate for patema shrinking is kinda heartbreaking for me...hoping it climbs on the ranks.

Oh and I guess this sold okay huh? I kinda like this song, it's pretty catchy. Though I guess I should expect nothing less from May'n. The anime's not bad either in my opinion (from what I've seen so far).

Feb 9, 2014 7:57 PM by Hahalollawl

There are a few new songs and new versions but most of them are also in the game. Not surprising since the anime was a very close adaptation of the game's introductory chapter which is completely linear (no choices). So not much that's completely new so if you either have the game (which has a music player mode for all the songs as you unlock them) or the game OST then you are covered for the most part. Hence 1K sales.

And Rena's album is also full of songs from elsewhere for the most part, some updated versions and it is SACD which Fix Records seems to have resurrected.

There are some vocal versions that have never been released so I hope the vocal album next month includes them. But it is preordered already even though 5/12 of the tracks already listed are new, the other 7 I have already. 14 other tracks are as yet unlisted and I hope they include the piano, guitar and vocal version of WHITE ALBUM which has so far not yet been released.

I bought Rena Uehara's Emergence album too even though it is half WA2 songs. It is SACD so it sounds better than the OP/ED/IS CD I bought last fall but it really is a bit silly of me to buy the same songs over and over... except for the support factor I guess. Rena's album must have been under 1K, it was on the daily rankings but then either it didn't show up or people forgot to include it even though it contains many anime songs.

It ranked 107th and sold 899 copies.
Thanks! I couldn't find the album thread on 2ch this week.
