Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 2nd Movie To Be Premiered In Golden Week of 2009

According to the official website, the second movie of "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" titled "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Movie Lagann-hen" will be shown in the theaters in the Golden Week of 2009. Golden Week is a Japanese holiday week and usually spans from April 29th to May 5th.

The movie of "Eureka Seven" called "Eureka Seven: Pocket ga Niji de Ippai" will also be premiered in the same week.

The re-filming of the first movie for the DVD release has already been started and about 100 scenes will be re-drawn. But it will take long before the DVD is available in the stores.

Yes One Piece movies are always shown in the spring, but it hasn't announced yet for 2009. If it's premiered in the spring of 2009, there will be two Touei Animation movies, One Piece and PreCure. Maybe Touei Animation is planning a special campaign for the 10th anniversary of One Piece anime.

2nd movie? I thought the first wasn't release yet.. I guess I am really not interested in the anime, but it is good to hear that a sequel came out though. :)

I didn't know about the Eureka 7 movie. Although I still skipped a few episodes in the series so I'd rather re-watch that before the movie (whether it's recap or not).

Ugh, I really hope it doesn't take too long. I'm really curious about all those added scenes.
