Manga 'Nobunagun' to be Animated (Confirmed as TV Series to Start Jan 2014)

It has been announced that the manga "Nobunagun" will get an anime adaptation. The manga is currently serialized in Monthly Comic Earth Star and has two volumes published so far. No other information is yet available.

Summary of the story:
Okura Shio is a highschool girl who was attacked during a school excursion. This triggered the soul of Oda Nobunaga inside her to wake up. Later she met other people with similar experiences and found that they are called "E Gene Holders" and they fight the "Evolved Invasion Species" from space under the command of the supranational organization "DOGOO".

Nobunagun will be airing on TOKYO MX on January 5, 2013 (Sunday anime) on 22:00.

I'm always looking forward to anything Sengoku related, though some titles end up disappointing. Gotta find out if this is good or not ^^.

Confirmed the studio is Bridge, whose most recent work is Devil Survivor 2.

It sounded really cool initially and tapered off as I read more.

The first sentence of the summary brought up some deja vu. However, girl is better than boy in this case, so I read on.
