According to Weekly Shonen Jump vol.7, Togashi Yoshihiro has renewed his record of the consecutive publications of Hunter x Hunter. He has been published the manga for 21 consecutive issues since August 8th 2011. The previous record of 20 issues was accomplished from January 2010 to June 2010. The longest hiatus for 79 issues was made from February 2006 till October 2007. In 2009, the manga was published in only three issues.
Togashi said he will keep on publishing Hunter as long as possible to encourage people in the disaster area of Tohoku Earthquake.

For some reason, at first I thought this was Wall Street Journal.

Funny enough, I think this every time I see 'WSJ' despite knowing better.

Encouraging the earthquake victims with Hxh xD
Whatever reason he needs to keep publishing frequently is good enough for me.

I thought for sure the hiatuses were due to his health.

This is quite shocking. I held off on the recent chapters because I didn't want to get into Hiatus x Hiatus

I wonder if this is a subtle hint that this arc will be the final...since he might just write and get it all over with while he is able? Who knows...

Yay. I guess.

Well, I really like HxH, so I'm glad.

I don't feel that Togashi is lazy. The number of breaks he has taken in the past is too many that made me worried. He has to be a very sick person.

Togashi doing his job properly (which is a matter of course for every other mangaka) is worth an entry in the news section? It sure is...

Hahaha before coming here I just read the latest chapter of HxH and was thinking to myself its been a while since one of its hiatuses. ^^

Here's to hoping there will be no more hiatuses for HxH.

Let's hope this means he'll eventually finish it.

But what will we call Hiatus x Hiatus now?

Highschool of the Dead.

That's a great news, all left to me is just to catch up.

Black Lagoon and Rozen Maiden II as well. On top of that, the 3 mentioned are fav mangas of mine. :(
