The 16th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump, which will go on sale on March 19, has announced that Yoshihiro Togashi's action fantasy manga Hunter x Hunter will resume serialization in the magazine's 20th issue, which will go on sale on April 18.

Hunter x Hunter first began serialization in 1998 but has gone on several long breaks in publication since 2006. The series last returned to serialization in June 2014 before going hiatus again two months later so that Togashi could undergo treatment for lower back pain.

A fan website was recently set up to track the issues of Weekly Shounen Jump in which Hunter x Hunter did and did not appear. Shounen Jump+ has also opened a special website that is selling back issues of the magazine containing chapters of Hunter x Hunter not yet published in tankobon format.

The series was first adapted into a TV anime between 1999 and 2001. A new TV anime which adapts the manga more faithfully aired between 2011 and 2014.

Is this the real life... or is it just fantasy??

Regardless of whether or not it will continue its usual trend of updates, it's still exciting to hear about it coming out this April (especially for the Dark Continent Arc!) Let's go Togashi!

So the manga is cool, but when will the anime pick up again?

Maybe in 10 or 15 years.

Glad Togashi's back doesn't hurt anymore. Had a 2 year hiatus from work due to backpain aswell and it is literally hell, you aren't able to do anything but play Dragon Quest the entire day.

I think at least the DC arc should be finished in the manga so that an anime continuation would be worthwile (even it is only an OVA, as was Greed Island before).

I only hope the original seiyus and studio (Madhouse!1) will remain, too. Anyone knows something about this?

Let expect the unexpectable: If Togashi work like he should be, then is it possible to (maybe after a year) MadHouse will continue the anime?

Oh, thank the invisible big man in the sky. Lets just hope its not here for just 5 more chapters until another hiatus for 2 years. >_>

Finally its back lets hop it does not go on hiatus anytime soon

I think we will receive at least some chapters. I just can't believe it will stay on one or two chapters.

I think the DC expedition arc could be the most interesting one.
