| I prefer owning stuff to streaming but Netflix's selection is big enough that it's worth the price imo even though lately it feels like the amount of good stuff leaving is larger than the amount of good stuff coming in. Still there are plenty of kinos to be found. |

| Crunchyroll is ruining the Western anime industry single handedly. They heavily censor and use bizarre translations. Netflix has a tendency to remove content a lot so you have to rush through shows before they disappear. If you want to put money into the industry you're better off getting directly from the studios you like most since various ones do streaming these days and you can just screen mirror it to your tv if you want...or just buy official merchandise and blueray disk copies. BD sales are actually what are used to determine if a show gets another season. |

| Depends I only use Netflix as it has available Polish subs and ocasionally Lektor/Dubbing depends on what you're watching and so far I don't have many complaints as I ocasionally watch Tv Shows, rarely Anime. For CR no idea as far as I know they offer only English language/Non-Polish so I am not interested for paying their services if they are not supporting my native language. |

But, IMHO...that money would be better spent getting a good VPN service (at about 1/4 of the price), and use several of the well known anime sites "on the high seas" that are out there...8 out of 10 times, those services have anime in much better video and audio quality, with more accurate translated subtitles (in many languages), and the episodes are available to watch at a much faster rate than most paid services, plus, you would have the advantage of having a VPN you could use for other purposes, including privacy and security online, and with other paid streaming services you may already have. If you want to support the anime in a legal fashion, then buy official merch, official DVD'S or Blu-ray's when they come out, or buy official copies of the manga or light novel the anime is based off of. |

Also, not sure where you got the "much better video and audio quality" from. Cause legal streaming always has 1080p with perfect audio quality all the time. Unlike some pirate sites where some shows will be fine, and then others the quality will be garbage. And I don't understand "the episodes are available to watch at a much faster rate than most paid services" either. Cause from looking release schedules, pirate sites wait until episodes come out on legal sites, so they can copy the video and post it on their sites. And from what I've seen, there's like a 20-30 minute delay between the release on legal streaming to pirate sites. |

| Finally got a Crunchyroll account after years of pirating whatever I couldn't find on Netflix since the illegal streaming sites I used in high school are either gone or shadows of their former selves. It's cheap compared to Netflix, Disney Plus or anything like that so I'm definitely not gonna complain. |

| I signed up for it once ages ago, but just didn't find it worth it. The video player was awful back then. Plus being in the UK means I get less anime anyway and I'm just paying crunchyroll for their weird projects. Also salty that they bought out Right Stuf or something so now they don't ship dvd's to the UK. |

| I do subscribe to Crunchyroll. It provides decent value as the yearly subscription doesn't break the bank and you get a reasonable selection of good anime. Sure there is censorship and it doesn't host all the series I want but nothing is perfect. The stuff they do censor isn't normally enough to put me off so I live with it. I do think if people feel strongly about seeing uncensored versions then they should get the Blu-rays, at least once in a while. You should try not to watch all your anime on the back of van, if you get my drift. Anyways, for better or for worse, the streaming model is here to stay. |

So regarding what I wrote last night (and due to a lot of stuff last night), here's why my hate in my love-hate relationship with streaming has increased for the last few years (and I say this as someone who used to watch a lot of content on streaming since late 2000's when it was still niche and brand new back then):
So that's my beef with streaming nowadays. Yes, I've been streaming content since the early days of Youtube, and when Crunchyroll used to be free and had content I can watch back then before being bought out and change ownerships. It sadden me to see how streaming has become not only expensive (when it comes to paid subscription), but also convoluted and confusing (as in 1st and 3rd party exclusive original contents being remove from the platforms) and irritating to me (the ads on paid subscription). |

| Used to pay for Crunchyroll until I realized it didn't even have a lot of the anime I wanted to watch. Netflix is in the same boat. Might have a lot of originals, but sometimes if I'm in the mood for a specific movie, chances are they won't have it. |
