Heh, it's funny how they actually nicknames their invention. A steam engine looks pretty useful right now though.

We got the crew making their way to save Chrome. I actually feel really bad for the guy now since his situation hasn't been going well.

Steam Gorilla!

I love Gen's expression while driving a steam car, his face was really funny lol.

But the gorilla steam can't go uphill, because the pump is not strong enough.

Is it just me or that old man look like Einstein?

Also Tsukasa is smart..

Tsukasa's logic is a bit too unreasonable and unrealistic, like for real, he can predict Senku's every move just like that -_-

I hope Chrome escapes by himself ^^

Dr. Stone is now the anime I looking forward to the most in each week. It deserves much more success.

Just for laugh, Bookworm Isekai spent the entire season making a paper, meanwhile Senku make a paper in 10 seconds and a tank in one episode.

The ED doesn’t get enough love. Much better than the OP and just an all around banger.

Really fun episode. Love seeing the strategy of both sides in preparing for the battle. TMS as usual doing a great job of bringing to life seemingly mundane chapters.

Tsukasa kinda op...

Apparently the strongest character AND he has big enough of a brain to predict Senku's moves? Iwonder how senku plans to deal with the traps.

on another note.. The STEAM GORILLA looks dope!

Ever since this part in the manga I've been trying to wrap my head around just how exactly do you make carbon fiber out of plastic and paper. It seems real enough and I have looked up similar products such as https://www.awapaper.co.jp/e/products/detail but it still feels surreal and a little bit hard to believe. The idea is awesome nonetheless and I really liked this episode.

All about the steam gorilla in this episode. Senku and the village all building the car out to this crazy elaborate steam engine tank that kicks ass. Still building up to the main conflict itself but we're getting close. Tsukasa preparing all these traps for a formal vehicular assault. He does rule the kingdom of might but Tsukasa is no dummy. Touching scene with the elderly of the village not wanting to hold the fighters back when the battle begins so they volunteer to stay behind. Suika going off to see where Chrome is held prisoner. I like that hes not just gonna sit around and wait for help. Chrome resolving to escape on is own with science was awesome! Tsukasa is ready for Senku but lets see what the science users can do.

Damn, they really made an automobile in the Stone World. That was a funny thing calling it 'Steam Gorilla'. Also, the use of Carbon fiber to convert that automobile to a tank. That's awesome. But, Tsukasa is also planning to stop Senku by setting up traps all over. Looks like Chrome will have to escape on his own.

The Industrial Revolution has arrived with the steam engine! And it's first accident too...Magma vs. Steam, Steam wins by a "United States of SMASH" HAHA

The Steam Gorilla, operation ready! Just fix it up with NASA standards of interplanetary exploration, and they're ready to move...except the elderlies who stayed behind in Ishigami Village.

When Senku has an evil grin, you can bet he's got ideas running for the ready...and that is using Suika's small body to figure out Chrome's location. A reckless charge, but a job well done for spying.

Turning the Steam Gorilla into a paper (shield) tank...it isn't "adorable" for an upgrade, but it's worth the trouble for defense capabilities. The testing of Senku paper shield (with plastic) vs. Kinro's shield, that's a pretty hefty test of wits and valor, after the scaredy part.

Tsukasa being able to anticipate Senku's arrival with his Steam Gorilla, that's a bit of a far stretch. Something's gotta give though...Chrome or some miracle could do.

A prison break with the power of science, that's Chrome for you.

The stone gorilla getting upgraded probably was the funniest thing! It went from 2D to 3D real fast! Chrome sounding hella badasss at the end of the episode, and if the teaser means anything, he's going to solo himself out the prison using science! Can't wait!

And Chrome still struggles behind the bar, LOL, don't worry man your squad is coming, even tho it's a whole eps late, because they are stuck doing a noble thing rn, well I think it's no worries he will never give up hahaha.

The Steam Gorilla is totally a tank now, this is impressive.
And especially Senku was really clever with the carbon!
But seems like Tsukasa already knew it, and there is a lot of traps.
But well now I guess that Chrome needs to escape by himself, I wonder what he can do

No matter what era guys will be guys, we are always attracted to vehicles. RIP Magma he thought he could stop a vehicle with his raw strength and XD Kaseki has his priorties straight. Also I just love how much faith the village people have in Senku.

One thing that's getting increasingly more problematic to wrap my head around: it's not even the things they build, but just... how much time do they spend on all the prepping and building and upgrading? Tsukasa could've mobilised his entire army and steamrolled the village by now, it feels...

Btw Tsukasa's army. Looking more and more like a bunch of bad neighbourhood hoodlums, I swear.

It's as if the automobile is a Pokemon. Basic form is the automobile and the evolved form is a tank.

Well Tsukasa used his brain and prepared for a steam engine attack by planting traps. Senku and the team are unaware of this and may end up being captured if they rush in. Chrome will attempt to break out of prison to not only save himself but to keep Senku and the team out of danger. Chrome will be using the power of science to break free!

I loved how the village people referred to the steam engine as if it was a living creature cause they don't know much better lol.

I wonder how Senku's plan to trick the Tsukasa army into thinking the Americans will come to save them will turn out with Senku having to take the offensive to save Chrome.

Also sad we didn't get to see any Ukyo or Nikki this week. :(

The Steam Engine is proving to be very useful and Magma had to learn the hard way that human strength is no match for the Steam Engine. Senku converted the Steam Gorilla from an automobile to a tank that is reinforced by carbon fiber. However, Tsukasa knows that Senku will try to free Chrome by using a siege weapon so he set a series of pitfall traps.

Gotta say this episode was nice showing steam engine upgrading in the stone world. That aside. Tsukasa is literally making sure of the best of the best. He knows Senku is very smart enough to make a steam engine. Which is understandable. If given enough time he can always figure things if Senku has been alive for a long while. I do not mind having a strong antagonist with some intelligence here and there. Though Tsukasa does not know that Chrome could have a brain on his own to escape. Not to mention Ukyo could also be up to something. Chrome is destined to break out with his knowledge. The only question. How will he do it?

Look, I can accept that Senku is the smartest person to ever exist so he can figure out how to build everything. But what I have a problem with is how quickly he is able to create all of these inventions using such minimal resources. How did they build another steam engine after relocating to the new base? Didn’t they need the water-wheel for that? Where are they getting all these raw materials like coal, honey, brass, and plastic and where are they keeping them? I didn’t see a lot of materials in the car or being carried by people. Either the season is moving too fast so things are not being explained enough or none of it makes any sense.

As someone from the modern age who fears the weapon of war and mass destruction its not that odd for Tsukasa to think of the worst situation. In the end he is not just a musclehead Antagonist, he is smart and he knows that Senkuu is a genius.

Carbon Fiber eh? Neat! Now they got a tank. Also that was a McLaren Honda I saw! Dr Stone is cultured!

Was honestly hoping that Kohaku would drive the steam engine, hence the name Steam Gorilla! But they just named it that.

I could accept that he is smart but to know what senku is going to do shishiou needs to be smart to have knouledge of what is possible for senku to do with what he has and tu understand how senku thinks (remember that they don't know each other that well) so in conclusion I think is quite too much. I would even rate it as a mistake even though I can still enjoy the anime

For people concerned about Tsukasa's conclusions, he did explain his logic. He has some idea of what Senku has had so far as well because of Homura's scouting and HYouga's intial attack. Iron swords gives him an idea of how far they came. Also recall he determined Senku's goal of developing gunpowder in season 1. Basically Tsukasa is smart enough to understand generally how Senku can progress because he has an above average understanding of scientific progress (something they established in his first conversations with Senku & Taiju)

How much time has passed while upgrading the gorilla into a tank? Also RIP bamboo tires your lives were too short.

With her slowly creeping up to Ginro and then backhanding him with the huge hand that looked liked she lived close to a nuclear power plant.....to good!

And if she is a gorilla then I wanna be her Tarzan and turn that silverback into a white one.....if you know what I mean.....oh yeah!
