Solid episode. Action remains fast paced as usual and we got to see more of Cioccolata in action.

I think the characters' expressions were captured pretty well this episode as well. That Green Day Stand is no joke. That cliffhanger :o

YOSHI YOSHI YOSHI

Another great episode, we learned about Buccellati's wounds, and it seems that the fight has only just begun. I've already gotten used to Cioccolata's and Secco's voice actors, and I think they did a great job portraying them. This fight is, without a doubt, the best in Part 5 and I am really looking forward to the next episode, even though I've already read the manga. This fact just goes to prove that David Production has done an amazing job with the adaption. Can't wait!

Overall, 5/5

Damn, the scene with Bucciarati and Giorno talking in the car was probably one of the most well-drawn scene in all of JoJo.

Watching those nutjobs is such a treat, yoshi, yoshi, yoshi, yoshi.

And Green Day is such a deadly Stand, too bad that they censored some parts, tho.

God this fight is just so hype especially cause pretty much everyone participates in the action to some degree, next week is going to be legendary too. In general im so ecstatic to see pretty much every episode going forward right now, the very end of the final fight i think will let people down but the final arc itself is spectacular and we are basically in it next week till the end

I was thinking the same thing when watching that scene, there wasnt much movement but like there was an insane amount of crosshatch shading matched with really moody lighting, it looks beautiful and I think helped sell the tragedy of the situation.

Okay, the 2nd half was great, Giorno's talk with Bruno and Green Day killing random civillians. I thought Secco wouldn't talk but seems he can

Secco is like a pet, Cioccolata's pet.
But hm, why isn't the mold affecting him?
So, maybe Giorno could have made Abbacchio a zombie too?

Next week finally the 7 pages animated!

Defitnitly, one of the best episodes of Jojo. Great pacing and the animation was magnificent. Also really glad how they animated the carscene between Giorno and Bucciarati

It was pretty stupid that Bucciarati didn't get a kill on Secco with his ari ari arrivederci tbh, why would he just leave him like this when he could have thrown as many punches as he wanted

Side effect of his armor stand protecting him I take it?

Well he WAS falling down. Not a lot of time to dish out punishment
Plus he's kinda under a handicap that will be discussed in 1 or 2 episodes

From Wikipedia:
"it also can only infest the users but not the Stands, as Sex Pistols were not covered in mold even when they dropped. Secco uses this property to protect himself from the mold, by wrapping himself in the coat of Oasis"

I know it's not the best source out there lol but it kind of make sense

I forgot how this fight went in the manga (except for a very specific part that we all are eager to witness) But damn, this episode had the right atmostphere. The car scene where Bruno's secret is revealed to Giorno was fantastic. And boy, this episode's cliffhanger gave me the hype so hard.

The scene where all the people started dying out of the mold was really terrifying (that jumpscare of the guy that fell from the helicopter was also terrifying xD)

Can't wait for next week and I'm looking forward to the final confrontation!

Man, the relationship between Secco and Cioccolatta was weird as heck in the manga, but here it looked even more awkward and creepy. It was fantastic.
I'm happy they didn't butchered Secco's thiccness too (even if in the manga he looked thiccer)

Also, this basically confirmed that Bucciarati's days are basically numbered. That scene in the car was just sad :(

Next episode will be the hypest moment of the fight. I have faith in you, David Pro, don't let me down, for God's sake.

Bruno was dying in giono's arms when he healed him, then stand bullshit happened and now we got zombieman bruno.

Abbaccio on the other hand, was turbo fucking dead a while before they even found the body.

Secco was asking earlier about the stand that persisted after death because of the user's rage. Perhaps it was implied that an extremely strong emotion was required for them to cling onto life.

the art was horrible. This episode felt like an amature drawing the characters. they looked like shit, there was a time in the episode when they were looking left and it felt like a completely horribly drawn version of the characters. IDK how you thought this was good at all tbh.

Secco is protected by Oasis.

And no, Abbacchio was killed before Giorno got there. Bruno's soul hadn't fully departed yet.

I thought I remembered the reason Bruno survived was because he got hit by that life punch at the start of the season, but I guess I was wrong.

I don't even know what you guys are talking about.
Animation wise it was average but when it comes to art there were many good scenes.
Ciocolatta and Secco's expressions were way better than the manga.
And the scene with Giorno and Bruno in the car was especially well drawn and way better than the "usual"

Amazing ep. They really put out the stops for this one, we're getting to the endgame boys. So much was good this ep, the OST was 100% on point, the voice acting was top-tier (shoutouts to Gio and Bruno's seiyuus, especially Bruno's, that stand rush and arrivederci so fucking good). The animation was really nice too, same with the direction. The ep captured so many moods so well, the action scenes were thrilling, the emotional scenes punched hard and the atmosphere during Cio and Secco's scenes was captured perfectly. God the bit where you see Green Day's effects on the city's people was disgusting.

The last bit with Giorno and Bruno exchanging those looks that signaled their trust in eachother was so damn nice too. DP have brought out the best of both characters in this adaptation, the subtle good direction that's been consistent through the part has made it so it's never really once felt like Bruno has overtaken Giorno in the spotlight. Both feel equal like two protagonists in a later JoJo part, it's really well done imo.

How was the art worse than usual? It was consistently on-model the entire time and stayed that way even during the scenes animated with a lot of movement. This episode had top-tier art and direction, I agree completely with the comments people've said before, the scene with Giorno and Bruno in the car looked really damn good and conveyed so much emotion.

He actually did zip Oasis/Secco on that scene tho, but it was barely noticiable. He also zipped The Grateful Dead and King Crimson.

I guess the beatdown wasn't powerful enough to do a Pesci-thing (because of his current state) and/or Oasis is kind of resistant.

How so? Every Stand battle so far has helped push things forwards in some way. B.I.G. gave us Trish's major development and her awakening her Stand, Clash/Talking Head further set-up the conflict to come by linking back to the previous eps via introducing Diavolo's personal guard which in return perfectly sets up Green Day & Oasis as the penultimate arc thanks to just how well built-up Ciocolatta and Secco have been since they were first teased as the ones who killed Sorbet and Gelato. Loved how formidable they both seemed this ep, Ciocolatta especially, having a Stand that does so much indiscriminate damage puts him just around the same level as DIO in terms of how scummy he is.

Out of curiosity, which season was your favorite?

I know people here were iffy on it, but I liked Diamond is Unbreakable more than Vento Aureo. Sure, things were slower paced and there were goofier episodes, but that's what helped me wind up getting invested in the characters.

Vento Aureo feels like it's going by too fast for me. I also don't enjoy the main villain too much. That said, the anime adaptation has made this part more enjoyable for me than when I read the manga.

If I had to rank them now: 1st season, Diamond is Unbreakable, Stardust Crusaders, and lastly, Vento Aureo.

I can understand that. I gave it a bit of a pass early on, but I didn't remember Giorno typically going "I've figured out exactly how this ability works by only seeing it one or two times!" so often.

I think Giorno is at his best before Soft Machine. He exudes a bit more personality back then and also came up with a solid method to defeat Black Sabbath after observing it over time and with help from Koichi. His fight with Bruno also wasn't bad.

Yea. As much as I might've seemed to hate everything about Giorno, I have to admit he was pretty cool at the start.
