| So I've been thinking what is the most well known and popular anime series of all time? Is it death note (live action movies, tv shows)? Naruto (16 million likes on facebook more than any other facebook page)? One piece (best selling manga of all time, fanpage on facebook 6.2 million likes)? Dragon Ball Z? Attack on titan? What is the most popular anime worldwide? Not just Japan but worldwide. An anime even for example a normal person would recognize the name like dragon ball? I don't know. |
| In terms of the most popular anime in general I'd say it would probably be something like Sazae-san since Western influence isn't important, but Doraemon is super popular across most of Asia so it might be more popular than Sazae-san worldwide. One Piece is definitely up there as well, but I doubt it's #1. |

| Doraemon and pokemon keep in mind that both these shows aired in Asia that has the majority of population around the world and DB wouldn't really be up there because it doesn't have as big of a following in Asia since it hardly ever aired there in it's entirety. |
