| Cat Shit One was a fun watch. The memories, it came out around the time when I first got into anime and I'd see the title pop up everywhere and just thought, "wtf?" Now speaking of the title, what's the deal with it? I know the original manga is set in Nam and the Vietcong are cats, so is it some pun I'm missing? Whenever I try to look up info about it I just find stuff that talks about how the English publisher changed it to Apocalypse Meow, since they were antsy about putting out a title with shit in it. |

I knew I definitely read about this somewhere so I had to go looking: Volume 1 Postscript said: The title I used for the comic in CM magazine, "Dog Shit One." is a nickname for lowerclassmen at West Point. But even after several installments, it just wasn't very interesting. I couldn't get into the story at all. I came up with the idea of changing characters to rabbits, and faxed a draft to the editor of CM. "Interesting." came the reply. "So. is this one going to be Cat Shit One?" And that was the origin of the name "Cat Shit One." Not really sure why "Cat", but the each nationality had a different animal, but not sure if there was much reason behind it. Iirc the Russians were bears and Chinese, pandas. |

| 5 episodes remain of destiny, im pretty set that im going to give it a 4, its really awful at times but it also kind of feels like alot of scenes fall more flat than they do infuriate its just the build up to these scenes are awful. Shinn will forever haunt me as the most wasted protagonist ever, like holy crap he was robbed by bad writing. So yeah, i guess destiny was better than i expected, but still easilly one of the worst entries in the franchuse with id say g-reco being the only one worse in the mainline tv entries. |
