| The first Cardcaptor Sakura movie was alright. Nothing special, but alright. I wanted to go ahead and watch it before completing the TV series since it's a side story. Apparently its continuity lies between the 35th and 36th episodes, but oh well. Didn't know that then. |

| It's too bad Sakura only found out about her brother's powers and his knowledge of Yukito/Yue and Keroberos after he had already decised to sacrifice his powers to permanently sustain Yukito/Yue. I think it's pretty impressive that Touya had enough magical power to completely power up Yue in the first place, let alone doing so in a seemingly permanent way. I also like how that indirectly pools into Sakura's power since Yue no longer needs to feed off of Sakura's power, so much so that Clow is now concerned that he'll be discovered by Sakura soon. It basically set the stage for the final episodes. |

Funnily enough, some people on /a/ spotted a few similarities between N. 01 and WT (which I also started reading recently), like numbers = neighbours, mappo = border, hero meets a guy from the other side who's got no evil intentions, the main girl looking a bit like Chika etc. It's all pretty surface-level stuff though, cause like you said N. 01 seems more like a gag SoL manga than a straight up battle shounen like WT, even though it may introduce some battle elements in the chapters I haven't read yet. I'll prolly get my hands on the raws and try a few more chapters to see how it goes. i wish i can read raws too.. Nihei's art can be stunning sometines. His character designs are more generic. But I've yet to read the new manga. I don't remember much from the one-shot. It was a typical same-face-syndrome with detailed backgriund art Nihei as usual . Though some panels were hard to follow due to staight up bad drawing |
