Just like what title says.

I find myself quite influenced by the Anime OP/ED when I am rating anime.
Sometimes I like the OP/ED but hate the anime.. I still give an alright score just because of the anime songs.

These OP/ED influenced my ratings..
No Game no Life OP
Death Parade OP
Re:Zero OP and ED
Erased OP
Himouto! Umaru-chan OP (I am addicted to this one for some reason)
Cowboy Bebop OP and ED
Noragami OP
One Punch Man OP

And I am also addicted to Monogatari OPs

not much... ill watch both the op/ed on the first episode of a series but after that i usually skip them. if they're actually good than it's a bonus and i have cool music i can look up later if i want to listen again

They wouldn't particularly influence my rating, but I otherwise am a huge fan of anime openings in general. Sometimes they have even made me continue watching anime that I wasn't really in the mood for.

rather than it influencing the rating, its usually the thing that draws people in and kinda shows the essence of the show itself, kinda like a thesis in an essay if ya know what I mean......

This is the case for me for Blue Exorcist and Noragami.

Kinda sad to see those awesome OPs "(kinda) wasted" on average anime...

It affects whether or not I keep watching something bad but why the hell would it affect your rating??? The soundtrack does affect my rating but the opening is not even part of the show.

They frame the entire show, lending their mood to the story and giving it more color.

Especially when done well, such as when leitmotifs from the OP/ED show up in suitable places in the show, this can REALLY enhance the experience.

I tend to generally watch them and not skip them. Sometimes if an OP/ED is sufficiently boring and I'm in the middle of a series I might skip them, but not at the beginning, and definitely not at the end either. And generally not in the middle if I'm watching the episode by itself. If I'm watching a few episodes in a row, or if the ED just totally doesn't match some cliffhanger moment or something, then I might skip stuff.

I feel like the OP and ED are just bonuses.

I rate anime on the "quality" and enjoyment, the characters and development, the story and its execution. the plot and its execution are vital because its simple the foundation and so much more.

even if the OP and ED were top notch, if it was let's say a "Mars of Destruction," then i would rate it the same as i would now. (a 0 if that was possible)

I also think its a little dumb (don't peg me with bowling balls pls) that people rate anime higher because of its OP/ED's.

Like basketball, the shooters shot poses little to no effect on the players skill if he continuously makes baskets. A correct way of shooting it however is a bonus.

I skip them 99% of the time. Basically, they're irrelevant for me.

Nope, op / ed is the most important part. Maybe 99% of the score. The other percent is shared between art, animation, story, etc.

If it's a new OP or ED I'll watch it once, then skip it half the time xD. I binge watch a lot of anime, not a lot of time to base opinion on OP.

Not very much. While is true that a good opening can make a mediocre anime a bit better (imo), at the end of the day they are just extras of the series.

0%.
Insert music - otherwise known as OST - is the only music that affects score.

However, a really really bad OP or ED could subtract, but for me this has only ever happened with Denpa Onna off the top of my head. But in Denpa Onna's case both the OP and ED were inhuman garbage.

Most of the time it's the other way around, a good anime makes me love the OP/ED. I've loved some pretty average OP/ED from a good show and never found myself listening to epic music from anime that I'm not fond of.

Why would a song effect my opinion on an anime? lol
I like them for what they are, there are some really good pieces of music, but the plot, which is the actual anime is the most important.

What, why would that affect me in any way ?__?

If the song is good then I might put it in my playlist. Doesn't mean it'll change my opinion of the anime whatsoever

Insert music might have some minor impact though because that at least plays during the episode itself

Honestly, after seeing a particular anime and moving on to a new one, it's hard to sit through the OP/ED because it feels foreign and weird to me. After watching a few episodes though, I usually get used to it. But if I don't, I'll just skip them, so it doesn't bother me much.

Why bother doing it dude? I mean... The OP/ED is pretty much consistent throughout the end... You should bother more about the background music, stuff such as that, which affects the overall mood of the story.

Tbh some people including myself skip the whole OP/ED so Idk why would it affect the rating. Pretty sure OP was bored and didn't had any other topic to get attention.

If it's a great OP & ED it would only motivate me more to listen to it if it's bad say Death Note OP2 then I would skip to the anime quick :3
Plus I have a OP/ED spoiler policy where I only listen to the music but not watch the scenes not until I finished the anime because there is often spoilers on OP/ED especially if you watch One Piece and other shounen anime :3

Not really much. Maybe if I was torn between, like, a 7 or 8 for the show, but I thought the intro was amazing, I might give it the push towards an 8.

Great OP/ED can do wonders to the perception of the show. It is especially true for non adult audience
If they are bad, they are ignored and have little impact on the show

Example is KHR which wouldnt be as popular as it is without its great openings. It is also true for most openings of naruto (not the shippuden)

Been skipping them for most of the time except for OP that been used as 1 episode ED to jump start the series.

Aside being hyped by Himouto Umaru OP, most of my favorite OP are the one that made into my "newest anime batch OP/ED" playlist whenever I decided to stockpiled on them. Even terrible anime managed to have decent OP/ED that I really liked. Then I handpicked them if they have good beat so I can start headbanging while driving.

One of the only anime that I searched because I heard the OP first was Black Bullet (fripside) and ED of Red Data Girl (Masumi Itou) .. and I kinda feel burned by the anime instead...

It used to affect me for scoring but lately I have been using 30% objective / 70% enjoyment/subjective instead.

*I also kinda hate that OP / ED that do have some series spoiler. Thankfully it didnt matter much if I was marathoning the specific anime back to back.
Nah, i dont think sharing anime ratings in signature is cool thing.

Here, stare at this pointless signature instead.

Pretty much nothing

They're good bonuses that constitute the identity of an anime but shouldn't be a factor in judging how good an anime is, because they neither make nor break an anime.

I usually skip OP/ED anyway unless I really like em, which is pretty rare

It only affects my score somewhat. A good opening pulls me into the story faster and a good ending makes me stay on the episode longer because I want to keep listening to the music. If it doesn't have a decent song, it pulls me away from watching as I don't want to keep hearing the song because I stream anime and buffering is a pain. However, it's not a deal breaker in terms of enjoyment in watching it. Just a point in scoring.

Nothing, really. I honestly don't really get why the OP or ED of an anime would affect my rating... XD

EDIT: I mean, sure, the OP in most of the cases sets the tone for how the story is going to be, but still, it's nothing that really affects me in the long run.

On some occasions if an ED/OP blows my mind the show in question can get an extra .5 or even full point (and there were a lot of great OPs last year). Wouldn't take away points just because the OP or ED is shit tho: i'll just skip

Not at all.

I appreciate a good opening/ending but it doesn't affect my rating. I rate based on my enjoyment of the show itself, the intro/outro is irrelevant.

I usually watch the opening for the first episode and then skip it when watching preceding episodes unless it's a OP I really like. ED's I usually skip regardless, I'll skip them to see the preview (if there is one) or just end it there.
