 The final episode of Rewrite announced that a second season will air for Winter 2017. The second season is currently listed as Rewrite: Moon Arc and Terra Arc. | Well I expected this, no real surprise here. Can't really do a visual novel adaptation without adapting the true route after all Honestly though, as horrible of an adaptation as this has been thus far, the second season should be way better on paper at least because this time it won't be anime original. They're just adapting the true routes like normal, albeit perhaps with some minor changes to accomodate for the original stuff they've done here. And doing Moon and Terra on their own in 1 cour is pretty reasonable I think It's just that now we don't have any proper buildup for it since none of the original character routes have been adapted... so idk, we'll see how it goes. Can only get better from here at least lol Also this is totally like déjà vu from Grisaia if so: totally fuck up the first season and then do just fine on the shorter sequel :s |

| Good news The anime got a lot better in last few episodes I watched specially episode 12 I'm confident that 2nd season will be better because the anime got more serious. The PV clearly show that anime will be serious just like the last few episdes of this season |

| God I hope this is decent. Rewrite is my favourite VN. At least this won't be rushed and crammed like sardines like the 1st season's common routes mish-mash "adaptation". Maybe it will be better animated too, with better direction and less talking heads. Still, I'm mad at 8shit for crapping all over my favourite Visual Novel. |

| Heh, fucking 8-bit. Between this and Grisaia they've already proven themselves to be completely inept at adapting VNs and even though the second season will arguably adapt the best parts of Rewrite, I've already seen enough of 8-bit's take on it to know this won't be worth watching. |
| Haven't seen the episode yet, but I saw this coming. Why did people think there wouldn't be one? They foreshadowed these routes perfectly. Hopefully the hiatus gives them time to polish this second cour.. |
