| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oh about time. They're fighting something new for a change. Decent action I suppose, better than I had expected anyway and the party learned some new skills Ranta relying too much on himself as part of the team tbh although I think his relationship with Haru seems to be honest. Usual chemistry between Yume and Haru. Not bad, I kinda liked this episode with the slight more diversity as it's not just goblins they fought.  |

| So it's just another hunting (except this time it's Kobold hunting instead of Goblins)and chit-chat and blabbering "Manato, Manato" like another previous episodes PLUS another new skill acquired like another exact previous episode huh? OH WELL. |

| These Kobolds are interesting and definitely a step up from the Goblins I like how there's a hierarchy to them and that each tier is stronger and more intelligent than the previous one....But holy crap Death Spots is fucking HUGE O_O Now I know why Mary is trembling because killing that thing.....I feel like Ranta will cause problems though, especially after the way he acted in this episode towarss everyone....I really hope that he'll stop acting dumb and come around |

| Oh damn, that monstrosity at the end! Damn, they shoulda fled. They were doing so well to that point too. Well except Ranta and his annoying nihilistic attitude. He needs to stop being so obnoxious and work as a member of a team before he gets somebody killed! |
| The mine's visual delivered, it's exactly what I was thinking when I was reading its description. Still, their introduction to the mines could have been a bit better, doesn't really give the feelings they are fighting new monsters and have to adapt to them all over again, getting a bit rushed. Haruhiro and Ranta's conversation was handled and pushed well, I guess I was a bit too worried, it really didn't need as much buildup as in the novels. Going forward... hm, we'll just have to see, Ranta's "arc" here will probably happen in the second half of the next episode, I think using a cliffhanger for it would actually be a good idea (as in, fill up this episode a bit more and have the encounter at the end of this episode happen in the middle of the next episode) but it'd need an extra episode to pace that well. Bit rushed now, another episode would have been really nice. |

| Another fantastic episode of grimgar. We start to seemore interactions with Ranta. Haruhiro is really starting to get annoyed at him and his attitude. Their conversation was amazing. Haruhiro really brings up a lot of good points but then Ranta asks about his weaknesses. While Ranta may be the only one with obvious weaknesses he does have a good point. You also get some more insight to his character. Haruhiro describes him as misunderstood and I think even Ranta agrees with him. Its because of that, that he acts the way does. He doesnt believe anyone understands him so he plays everything off. He may be a hateable character but he is still a good one. Love the scenery of the mine. Seeing some cool new skills is always fun. Now Yume has throwing knives which she was practicing on some targets. Shihoru has a cool new skill and the one that Mogzo has seems really useful. The ending though. Ranta really screwed up setting that trap off. This is going to hurt Mary badly. I wonder how she is gonna deal with her trauma. As usual a beautiful episode of grimgar, showing easily why its the best anime this season. |

| This episode felt like 5 mins...damn, the fact that they're hunting different kind of monster makes it more thrilling than usual. Wow Ranta is way worse than I've ever thought, he doesn't want to be friendly, fits for a Dark Knight. ...and Haruhiro still can't forget about his lover Manato. |

| With such a strong focus on Ranta in this episode, I can't help but think he is going to cause something to go horribly wrong in the next episode, probably by trying to attack Death Spots or something. I don't blame Mary for freaking out upon seeing him again though, not when he's that ridiculously big. I seriously hope no one dies again because of Death Spots. |

| This anime's like a 3/10 to me, but if Ranta gets killed by Death Spots and subsequently fed to those pigs then it'll be a 10/10. |

There not learning or growing as we can see, as there in spot where someone can die again. theyre always in that spot are you okay? if you compare the party from when they couldnt kill a single goblin to now where theyre able to kill multiple kobolds, theres definitely progression. being cornered by deathpatch was pure chance too btw ranta was just being stupid and even then i dont think they would have known about the alarm system so any one of them were equally likely to trip it. anyway the animation quality is back up it was very pleasing to look at and the fights were super fluid i loved it. cant wait for next ep its goin down for real. |
| Instead of goblin fighting, they're fighting Kobolds. Holy shit the Deadspot is fucking gigantic. I'll be impressed if they manage to take it down without any serious injuries or casualties. It looks like Mary's unpleasant memories are coming back, hopefully she can overcome that when they fight. Ranta also needs to stop being a little shit, I understand that's just the way he is but when you're on a team, acting that way can lead to serious consequences. |

| So much hate on Ranta, but I actually really like his misfit character. He adds more to the group. Imagine if Ranta was as boring as Mogzo. Mogzo is just a sorry excuse for a character. Hype near the end, can't wait to see them confront death spots. |

| Yume putting a blanket on Haru? SHIPPPPP. I seriously ship them more than Haru x Mary... Gomen Mary ;-; I love chu so much tho. Mary and Yume have definitely become my favorite characters in the anime. I'm glad they moved onto a new monster tho. I got tired of seeing the goblins over and over again. Only two episodes left ;-; I hope it ends in a good way :D and I hope no one else dies >.< |

| Of course it's easy to blame Ranta for everything and he is at fault but the others are also not blameless, they are not trying enough to get closer to him. He has brazen, rude way of speaking and can't admit his feelings properly, but he means well. Like the title says Haru is not a leader like Manato and can't reign Ranta in when he's also one who's using him as a scapegoat and tension reliever like Ranta says and he has taken that role upon himself. He's obviously joking but it doesn't come out well and Haru being tense tense it the wrong way.  BEST  |

| So how long ago did Mary's previous group get wiped out by Death Spots? because it seems to have been a while ago. Which leads to the question as to why no other group of stronger people have killed it in that time, as I remember he had a bounty on him which makes it seem really convenient that he is even still alive. Also Ranta is thoroughly unlikable, even if a few of the things he does say have some truth to them the way he goes about things and how he acts and talks make him still in the wrong and unlikable. Also his behavior is a danger to the team so he is not fulfilling his role as he so claims. |

| Very good episode overall imo . It's about time to address ranta's attitude towards the team . He just wants to fullfill his duty in a professional way without developing friendships with his party members , but i think deep down he's faking it . i mean he was moved by manato's death , which means he really did care for him. I like seeing mary smile :) Also i hope nothing happens to Mary next episode . She seemed very nervous in the end ... |

| Rants was a dick when this show started and has got worse as the series has progressed. I wanted him to fall down a well and disappear. Good episode though. |
| I actually think that Ranta's attitude, although annoying, makes him a good addition to the cast. He just want to do his job well and don't make friends. He adds something different to the series apart of friendly partners who love each other very much, something that series about people who kill things need (like AgK). I think however that he can develop a bond with the others eventually (seeing how he was affected by Manato's death). Haruhiro only need to find a way to deal with his problematic personality and bring his good side, since the party need him. Other than that, the kobolds are a good addition tho the series, more variety is welcomed. I hope the fight with Death Spots will be as epic as the one with the goblins in the 8th episode. This. I want to see how strong Renji is. For a moment I thought he will appear in the episode. |

| People hate Ranta because he's an Ass, but him being an Ass is necessary to the story. I hate Mary though, basically since she came it's been about her problems with a few minor Party problems thrown in, quite frankly It pisses me off. She's better then Manato though, so there's that. The episode was kind of meh, I couldn't really feel the passion during those fights. I hope they ruin this Kobalds life...someone is about to die. |

| Is nice seing them getting stronger. And actually being a party. What I really like, as always, is the characters relations, it feels like Ranta has too much to say but he feels like no one wants to hear him, you know, like he is not a part of the "grop" unlike others that are strengthening their feelings. 5/5 |
| This episode seemed to be suggesting that something will happen to Ranta or something will happen because of Ranta. Personally i wouldn't mind if something happened to him i don't like his personality and he doesn't function well in the party. The biggest problem with his behaviour is that it could bring trouble for everyone in the party. There is also the part where he almost hurt Haru. |
| Still in love with the amazing art style and setting. The pacing fits the story so well. It really was thrilling to see them carefully trying to handle this operation without making too much noise, and then just disposing of enemies everywhere. RPG Nostalgia~ Kobold o's!
