| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- "The New Mobile Suit V2" Ok, the scene w/ Lupe & Uso bothers me, what the hell were they going for? Was it some kind of poor attempt at humor, misguided torture, or is she a pedo? That was some weird sh*t. Moving on, Zanscare seriously gets on my nerves w/ their pompous & ruthless attitude. But at least poor Uso gets an upgraded mobile suit to compete w/ the weird Zanscare weapons. Hopefully with the V2, Uso will be able to push things in League Militaire's direction. Because right now they need all the help they can get. Another major revelation is that Uso's mom is alive and is an enginer for the League. I wonder if we'll get a chance to see her. I just hope she doesn't meet the same fate as Kamille's mom. |

So Uso was able to escape from a Zanscare palace full of guards naked with the help of a pet dog and mobile suit projections. I wish I knew Tomino was thinking while writing this episode. The second half made up for it though, with the reveal of VICTORY GUNDAM TYPE 2. Damn that thing was sexy, it had laser wings n shit. Interesting, so the parents of the newtype are involved with the MS production yet again... |

| A bath scene "to test" a Newtype? o_O Nothing against those scenes that are in every Gundam, but why did they attempt so poorly to justify it? The Haro/Flanders duo, obviously still relevant because of children, got a nice use. I suppose the naked escape was also present for children's laugh (I would have smiled if I was still young enough) The Victory type-2 revelation made me a bit angry: everyone but me knew. Uso talked about it so casually! 3/5 Being late on my schedule, I hope I won't get burned with too much stupidity with the next 5 episodes. @St0rmblade Probably a cross between pleasing the "new" target audience and Tomino's will to develop his skills on women characters and themes. |

Uso is right to be angry at the Resistance guys; they all knew he was looking for his parents and could've published info about his achievements as one of the League Militaire's ace pilots way earlier, if they weren't so preoccupied with using a child for their own gain. Users and assholes all around. edit: att least the Victory 2 looks neat. |

First teasing from Junko, Mahalia and Peggy, than a kiss from Marbet, next the marriage thing, now this...I don't understand him. Or maybe it was some weird idea from another member of the staff...it was waaay too distinct from anything that came before. About Victory 2: nice "wings" (out of "beam technology"?). Are they also used for acceleration? | Zanscare security never fails to dissapoint even futher and wtf was that bathroom scene. At least they tried to justificate this episode as "Let him escape so he show us the way to Shakti".
