Dat determination:  Yup, some tears shed and group is back. Dat scenes on train was kinda cute. Tachi and Sumire were cute :3 I was looking forward to an extended Karuta match but I'm still glad the series is back with the second season. |

| Yosh! I cannot wait for few hours later to watch this. Everyone returning as 2nd year. OP is nice, has different feeling as the one for 1st season. Taichi's too popular because those girls came to the club because of him obviously. The kouhai girl, who caught eyes on Taichi to get back at her ex-boyfriend, is too proud. So that timid girl was entrusted by the teacher to be strict, lol~. Even though he didn't talk, Miyu-Miyu's character appeared a bit. ED is sawayaka, I think Seto-san improved. |

| I'm so glad the second season didn't lose any of its charm and energy that made the first season so special if the first episode is any indication for what's to come. With so many new members Kanade's attitude is more than needed to separate the wheat from the chaff. Sumire is an interesting addition to the cast though we all now she will never have a chance against Chihaya anyway. The opening is simply marvelous. |

| Perfect. Just perfect. I love this show SO much. ~~ I love the OP and ED. The animation still looks great. The BGM makes everything in the show better. It really pulls you in. I like Sumire. Also, I am guessing that most of the girls will leave the club (or get kicked out by Kanade) once they realize how much work it really is. |

| It doesn't help that both series are produced by Madhouse but this episode Chihaya really reminded me of Gon from Hunter x Hunter X D When everyone but Chihaya was prioritizing one goal, she surprised everyone by saying she wants everyone's goal to come true. It's great that this show came back in full force hitting the ground running. We got to see everyone's quirks again but also we got introduced to a new member who has a thing for Taichi. I don't know how school relationships are in Japan but I can tell you right now I have never seen such a haughty group of Freshman/First Years in highschool ANYWHERE. I switched schools a lot in my teenager years around the world except Asia but first years never acted as cocky and confident as they did in this show. It was surprising but interesting! However Hanano is so full of herself, I wonder if she'll be brought back down to Earth in the rest of this season. Even after getting rejected she still believes she has a chance with Taichi. Most likely she won't get her wish but she'll stay in the club anyway to try to flirt with him; what would actually be interesting though is if she stays because she was as moved by the cards as she was in this episode. We also got a slight glimpse at potentially the next male member which was nice. The OP and ED songs were really soothing to listen to. They had that calm air that just puts me at ease. I'm just glad |

| So the season's best anime finally is here. Hmm. /takes a breath... God I love Chihaya so much! The anime is supposed to be 2 cours but I am not sure how much material we have to get 24-25 long season! Who cares! This anime is so wonderful I really wouldn't care if we get fillers! Chihaya is ♥. Great to see all the members! Kana-chan was so cute when she was acting the senpai! Two new members to join! And I already like Sumire! Much needed to get our dense queen realize the feelings of Tachi for her! Chihaya can be so oblivious yet I love that thing about her the most. ♥ I hope Arata appears soon! He hardly had any screen-time in season 1! Oh! And the new OP and ED are both wonderful! And MADHOUSE kept the insanely vivid and detailed animation quality too! Simply amazing! |

| Amazing first episode of the second season, opening and ending are beautiful. Sumire is nice addition to the team, I liked her determination even though her reason for joining is silly. |

| Yep. Easily the Anime of the Season. I like the dynamics of the new girl with the existing cast. They managed to handle her conceitedness such that she isn't annoying :o. And I still love Chihaya's innocent personality xD 5/5 First impressions: 8.5/10 |

| MY FAVOURITE OF THE SEASON!! Seriously, the first episode was beautiful and I loved it when Taichi said he wanted to choose the girl he would devote himself to and that Sumire-chan said in her head "That really stung...He will never choose....I won't accept it", **SPOILER...open at your own risk** I love it that they're sort of using the same BGM from the first season. :rolleyes: I'm up to Chapter 105 in the manga but there's a whole chunk that wasn't scanlated, which makes the 2nd season even more awesome as I totally don't know everything that's going to happen in this season. The only problem I'll be finding myself with whilst following this series for 24 more episodes is the wait every week and I'm pretty sure there will be a week or 2 where the anime will go on a break in preparation for the end of Winter Season animes and the start of the Spring Season animes. This will probably be the only show I'll be watching every week when I can, sucks that I have to wait a week for the next episode. <_< |
| Maybe I was in some weird mood watching this ep but I didn't like it much. It seemed too much like a start of some mediocre high school romance anime rather than a continuation of the series I watched just two months or so ago. The episode seemed in a hurry to zoom in on the new girl (who annoyed me but I'm sure she'll improve as we get to know her more) and the old gang was kinda on the background. Lol, I'm sure I'll be on the edge of my seat again when they get back to playing karuta :) |
| This was a good first episode. I'm not sure if I like Sumire yet but that ending was admirable of her. Not that I'm going to root for her and Taichi to be together lol The opening sequence when they show Chihay/Arata/Taichi at the train crossing almost seems like Chihaya will acknowledge taichi's feelings for her this season? ohhhh so excited, I'm SO happy that season 2 is finally here :D |

| Sumire is very superficial, but I'm sure she will start loving Taichi for what he is, but still, she won't win, because she ended up falling for that one character already in love with someone else. Tears+Acceptance+Learning to be a Better Person = Character Development Please let this happen, because creating a female character to resolve an already existing love triangle is cliche as hell. |
| Finally! FINALLY! Winter 2013 is saved. And all thanks to amazing as always Chihayafuru. New OP was great - somehow more mature, I don't know ;) Anyway, the part at the train crossing made me shiver - I definitely read too much into the fact that Chihaya turns away from Arata, looks at Taichi and smiles, but oh, well :P Episode was great. Of course I can't wait for the real games and tournaments, but that was only the begining so we have to give them some time to warm up for the serious action. Kana-chan was amazing with her strict attitude! :D Oh God, please let Sumire be the character who will make Chihaya jealous of Taichi/aware of her feelings for Taichi/etc - please, let her be that and ONLY that! I'm more than certain that she's going to develop as a person in the course of season 2 but really, I don't want her to become Taichi's second choice, no matter how great she turn out to be. |

| Man, like everyone said already, i forgot how much i loved this series. Taichi and the new girl look oddly good together, especially the train scene, really well done even though i leaned toward TaichiXChihaya a little bit( i dont usually care about parings). Anyway great episode 4/5 and i cant wait for my boy Arata(my fav character) to enter the scene. |

| Thank you Chihayafuru for making this season worth watching. Oh gosh how I love this series. That new girl is so joke though, I hope she acts as a catalyst to the relationship between Chihaya and Taichi, because I want to see that darling relationship resolved! (no homo). |

| Loved it!!! So happy to see the new season!!! I also loved how Chihaya nipped that in the bud when all the freshman were questioning her about teaching and she's like "I'm the effin ace!!!!" lol |
