| That Bossun-Himeko 2nd half was awesome to watch. They seem like very simple to understand characters but their relationship is complex to actually comprehend on so many levels, only connected to each other through the fact that they have a definite 'bond' between them which Switch implied. They have the relationship of a first love in school, an old married couple, mother/son, boke/tsukkomi duo and much more, but more than that, they have real chemistry that feels impossible to break down. It's the beauty of friendship and bonds that SKET Dance manages to achieve so well and organically that makes it such an amazing show to watch despite the simple exterior of being a Gintama ripoff, school version. |
| One of the older and most well known modern tropes, "Wounded Gazelle Gambit" or simply playing sick or hurt. This rarely goes well for the simulating one, lmao. You could tell both were enjoying it, tho. Thank God this episode didn't air in 2022, Twitter folks would've wanted to cancel it for sure. Bottom line is that Bossun's and Himeko's relationship is deep. As I said, I don't need to see them as an item, but I guess the mangaka kept things a bit ambiguous to keep the freshman around. |

| Bossun taking Onihime as a slave by faking the wound doesn't surprise me xD And we get again some ship teasing, it needs to officialize really! |
