A new anime of Ichigeki Sacchuu!! Hoihoi-san was announced at Dengeki Kanshasai 2012 streamed on Niconico Live. An OVA of Hoihoi-san was released in 2004.

Manga "Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san" had been serialized in Dengeki Daioh. A sequel to the first series "Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san LEGACY" has been serialized in Dengeki Maoh since 2007.

Not sure about what you meant, but why not? Everyday that goes by, bacteria keeps getting less and less susceptible to antibiotics, it wouldn't be surprising at all if that happened to bugs as well.

Can't wait to watch it. I read one volume of it and it was pretty good, even though I never found more of it translated anywhere.
