| It seems that I'm the only one here torn about what to think about this Kouji guy. He's a typical character who people hate from the very beginning but... but... BUT!!! I'm a seiyuu otaku and I simply can't hate anyone voiced by Morikubo Showtaro!!! :( |
| It's pretty obvious that Koogy is not really commited to manga, he just sees it as one more art form to dabble in--his real project is his own "awesome" self. As said above, his manga doesn't really look very jack-like, although editors and publishers would sell their collective soul if it built circulation significantly. It will also be interesting to see how the power relationship plays out between the editorial staff and the aspiring mangakas. |

| Koogy is a real bastard and he knows hit, Eiji was different in that he is just crazy so I really can't forgive Koogy. I wonder if they'll succeed, next episode will be mangakas vs editors I guess. |

The fans probably won't even read the other manga and still send in the papers that Koogy is the best. That is why its an extremely underhanded tactic. Hes not relying on his skill as a manga writer but hes relying on loyal fans. |

| I have been rewatching Bakuman and I have to say the foreshadowing for Koogy is really great.He has been appearing or mentioned (either playing in the background or people talking about him) constantly since episode 2. |

| Oh gee...imagine if Mashiro accidentally got curry on the manuscript and had to start all over. "Being a mangaka means cutting down on your lifespan." Wow, Mashiro laughed at that. He clearly doesn't take what happened to his uncle too seriously at this point. "I did not think it was the right type of story for a shonen magazine. It was too bleak." Uhh...how successful was Death Note again? Gee, the assistants Mashiro made buddy-buddy with are all rivals with Mashiro and Takagi for the Golden Future Cup now. Wow, Colorfusical looked...very flamboyant. Definitely not something that would run in Jump Jack. (Yes, I know about JoJo, but that has plenty of violence and other things for young boys.) Shoujo, josei, or an oddball seinen magazine would all be better candidates. It seems like Hattori agreed with me, even if he was trying to keep his thoughts to himself. Another new character...this KOOGY guy really wants to risk his successful music career to become a mangaka. Though I guess it's less of a risk when you have a fanbase like that...he's a bit of a slimeball, isn't he? |

| Koogy's a mangaka eh. His timing to announce that works given how he can easily get serialized if the questionnaires are rigged with fans of his voting for him rather than the manga itself. Gonna be interesting to see how the rest of the competition in that Golden Future Cup handles this predicament since it is unfair that he has a big platform to rig the voting for his favor in comparison to the rest, even Ashirogi Muto's editor, Hattori, indicated that he wants them to beat Kouji Makaino's work no matter what. Also we met a new character today, Ko Aoki, the person who Mashiro could have worked with if Mashiro truly wanted to leave Takagi and draw his art with her story. She's quite the character with "refined" taste and standards, and Nakai is quite the "simp" as we say in 2020/21 for her. At least he's involved in a project that could push him to potential serialization if successful so that's something. |

| fact that mashiro did 2 all nights and almost collapsed at their meeting saying something about his future as mangaka in high school. never liked aoki so much, specially at this stage where she does have "special opinion" and kinda bossy. glad for nakai though, he truly deserves it. koogi play dirty by using his own popularity. problem is, good manga gets popular from it's story, not from his fans. the fact that he says he just want to do another big thing in his life, just saying he's too ambitious to be mangaka, where in this series mangaka is showing to be one that sacrifice other things for it, he just want another thing to "accomplish". fukuda team, go! |
| I don't care for Aoki's elitism. And, considering her comment about Colorfusical, I have to wonder if she's a fan of Koogy. That being said, while Koogy's actions are a bit dirty, I'm not so sure there is anything that can be done. I mean, he's taking advantage of his already developed fan base. It sucks to have to compete with that, but I can't imagine that's illegal, or anything. Plus, there's no guarantee everyone who likes his music will necessarily bother with his manga. They are two different mediums after all. We'll see what happens I suppose. Nevertheless, hopefully Team Fukuda can survive this ordeal. |
