I'm still laughing as I type this. Miria's laying into the glasses dude, who's actually doing something for once in his life, then SMACK, the hotshot blonde dude gives one of the hardest slaps I've ever seen in anime. He literally runs across the room to deliver this assault. After this brutal encounter he chides the glasses dude then walks off laughing. I love misogynistic 70's anime!!! Also: Great encounter between Amuro and Char. But damn, that slap stole the episode. ANALYSIS OF THE SLAP:       |

| I liked Kai's response. Throw a party with the enemy. Glad to see his humor is back. And I just loved the scene with Slaggar, Mirai, and her (Former?) Fiance. Such human reactions. Not at all how I was expecting the scene to play out. Looking at Beatnik's analysis of the slap...As Sleggar ran across the room his hand was on the right side. He then wound up before delivering his backhand slap. Hell ya. |

| I honestly didn't get the point of the slap but then again I agree with pretty much everything Mirai was staying. Got to give Slaggar some credit for excellent form, though. Things should be really interesting from here on out and I'm glad I was wrong in the previous episode about lack of development between Amuro and his father. |

| Cool episode, glad he went to see his dad again. That scene with the Indian girl was so weird. And the first actual face-to-face meeting between Amuro and Char! Towing a car of all things... So Amuro seems to be developing some kind of force/ki/esper powers. It has been mentioned a couple of times before, by Matilda I think? This same girl that Char has picked up must have these powers too. So he must've recruited her to try and even the odds. And that slap. Sleggar is a legend. I hope he doesn't die because he sure as hell doesn't deserve to! |

| Bitchslapping continues. Now it is Sleggar and Mirai. Some say that this is misogynist show but at least show has slapping equality. Men slapping women, women slapping men, men slapping men and women slapping women. This show has it all. Char is good guy. Helping out enemy to tow his car out of mud. Did Char regocnize Amuro? He said something about hearing his name but was he just bluffing? Or did he just not remember then who he was? Does he actually know the name of Gundam pilot? |

| Sleggar slapping Mirai like a boss was just ONE of the amazing things in this episode. Lalah appeared, Amuro met Char face to face and then he killed things like the badass he became ever since episode 30. This show had a vast improvement ever since the White Base went to space again. |
| Wow just wow!!! Amazing episode!! It's amazing how your enemy can land the same space as you. Only a neutral side can make that happen. It's a shame about Amuro's father. It's obvious that he never really cared about his family. It was Amuro's Mother's mistake by letting him join up on space. Wow Amuro and Char finally talking to each other!! It seems only Amuro is aware about Char, i wonder why Char didn't sense anything special from this boy? :P So Lalah is some sort of psychic?? she seem to be able to predict Char or things around her. And that "Bright Slap" by Slegger!!! Seriously i was laughing as hell since it was loud as fuck and everyone just went speechless, even Mirai herself!! I actually thought Bright would do it, but man Sleggar is slowly becoming a favorite of mine XD Amuro's perception and movement is getting amazing by the episode. Lol now it's White Base that feels OP even though back then they usually get damaged badly by the enemy. Mirai finally leaves behind Cameron. I can't wait to see more Amuro and Char interactions!!! |

| Geez, that slap! At first it surprised me, and it became a pretty intense moment... but as soon as Sleggar started laughing I said to myself "what a dick." I honestly don't know how anybody still likes him. The moment between Amuro and Lalah talking about the bird was also good, and also how he met char directly after that. Amuro's dad still seems like a nutcase, but, hey... I guess that's what war does to people, huh? This was a good episode all around, and not just because of that epic slap. |

| I don't know why, but these slaps are way more amusing than they should be. Something I don't get though is the sexist comments. Wouldn't it be more sexist if only men were allowed to be slapped? It's not like only women are being slapped either. I think what Sleggar was trying to convey is that Cameron was really trying for Mirai, but there's no way I'm going to defend him (Sleggar). Anyway, the meeting between Char and Amuro was interesting. I wonder how Amuro guessed it was Char. It does almost feel like he's gaining the ability to predict things. Also, who is this Lalah, and why is she significant? Does she have a more developed version of whatever Amuro has? I think it will be a bit odd if this is taken further than predicting an immediate outcome into the territory of predicting the future. Gundam hasn't seemed like that kind of show so far. Oh, and Amuro's dad is acting pretty loony. |
| Sleggar's slap was glorious. Amuro and Char face to face for the first time over car towing of all things xD. Amuro was so tense and Char wasn't even aware who Amuro was. Amuro being badass,seems they're finally going explain about the newtypes. |

| In a sense, there is a dreamlike atmosphere in the meeting between Lalah and Amuro, unfortunately they did not last long meeting, however, the episode is quite intriguing as regards the mysteries that surround the young and the relationship he has with Casval . Not a bad fighting, but no the best seen so far, but the main issue was not it. Now it is understandable that it is Amuro to make a difference and not so much the Gundam. It seems to me that the story is proceeding a little too quickly. |

| This episode was amazing. I was laughing so much. Sleggar's slap came right out of left field, and the lecture he gave afterwards was priceless. I also loved how Amuro was able to take out a who warship with two well placed energy swords. Two pokes and the ship just explodes. It wasn't clear if the first Dom kill was by Amuro, but the fact he immediately moved through the explosion and knowing how good he is I'll give him credit for it. I'm glad the anime itself is acknowledging how much better Amuro has gotten recently. Amuro Ray Kill Count: 6 Dom kills, 1 Chivvay kill; 7 kills total this episode 62 kills total |
| Holy crap this thread is making me laugh! The Sleggar backhand surprised me, but reading this thread has made me appreciate it so much more! Thanks fellows. I feel real shitty for Amuro with his interactions with his dad. He's handling this all on his own without talking to anybody about it, too. He showed in the battle scenes that he is focusing that anger on beating Zeon. And what the hell was with the Amuro/Lalah interaction? |
