| Strike Freedom! I like it :D Kira comes to save the day as always, he still put up an epic fight though, even if it was one-sided since the SF seemed so OP. Athrun trying to get up was painful to watch, he's really badly injured. |

| (rewatching) HD remaster almost entirely replaced Kira piloting the Strike Rouge. They also swapped out his new theme music (probably because of it's use in the new OP). While it's nice to see somebody use Rouge to it's full potential (and it was pretty cool)... I liked the original version of the fight. New version kind of lost that "omg it's the Strike!" vibe as we got to see Kira push that thing way past it's limits to what the Freedom could do while using a vastly inferior gundam. Old version: Kira looked pro (and the fight was more desperate) New veersion: Kira is overpowered again |

Same here, never really thought of Shinn as the MC in here, if anything I thought it was Athrun for the first half and now it looks like it will be Kira again. Also this ep was excellent, seeing Strike Freedom for the first time and then in battle was epic. |

| Sad that they didn't use the Vestige on Strike Freedom's appearance on remastered version. Oh well, it's on the OP anyway. Also, the new Strike Rogue seems much stronger than the all-equipped Strike. |

It is a bit strange though that Shinn's significance in the story seemed rather diminished near the final episodes starting from about this point as you rightly mentioned. Yeah. The first 3 minutes of episode 1, the OP, and the ED make Shinn out to be a main character equal to Athrun, but for the first 20 episodes Athrun is pretty definitively the main character and Shinn is just a side character mobile suit pilot. Shinn starts getting more screentime around episode 30 when Kira two shots Athrun's savior, so Shinn is the only pilot on board the Minerva with a working machine. And now it's feeling more like Shinn is an antagonist to the main characters of Athrun and Kira. ghost_wolves said: I doubt anyone will ever see this, but why is no one talking about how this episode made no sense? Why does she love Kira over Athrun, when she had known Athrun for years but had only known Kira for a few hours before kissing him? |

| It's always cute to see lacus and Kira togheter, and i really love Athrun as a character too. The strike Freedom was majestic, now Kira can finally annihilate shinn. |

| And when I thought Jesus yamato couldn't get stronger and now he's piloting gundam strike freedom making him more op than he ever was 😭😭 Shinn piloting gundam destiny is definitely the key part for Durandall's "destiny plan", oh boy! They've already setup another grand stage for kira vs shinn (；一_一) Now that jibril has gone to orb for his next hideout, it's a good time for zaft to bring out another weapon of mass destruction from the space and they'll probably target orb because of that. |
