Is Turtle suffering from some kind of radiation poisoning, or does he have Cyphillis from the various prostitutes that he slept with?
Lilly should have seen that one coming. Americans were absolutely horrible to the Japanese after the war. Why did she expect this one soldier to be any different?

^ Well Lilly didn't really trust him that much, hence the hidden stash. However he even stole that. I have to say it sort of freaked me when she went into the maniacal laughter.

So it seems like Lilly is important to Turtle's arc, but i like how it incorporated multiple stories this time. I think this was one of the best episodes in a while. Although i thought it was a little forced to show the bomb exploding every time he felt ill, in order to connect the two.

Finally a problem for not one of the main characters, but a supporting. Poor Lily, I liked her. Wonder if the 1% lender is going to have to do something with the result.

So when are we finally getting to some sort of Soldier-arc? Can any of the manga readers tell me?

its just a rumor from animenewsnetwork, animenewsnetwork is like accurate for everything expect episode count they said multiple tims uraboku and a few other shows will have 12 or 13 episodes but uraboku is currently at episode 24 and still ongoing.

Rainbow might have 51 because After turtle arc is soliders then Sakuragi or Anchan I like to call him arc.

Because they still haven't explained how sakuragi got into a reformatary just he assaulted someone, they didn't say who and why.

A lot of animes don't explain shit, and they still end. Examples would be Air Gear, Berserk, Claymore, HSDK, and a ton more. Hopefully this continues.

Didn't Sakuragi himself said that he had a fight with his father ( with words , not fists) , his father committed suicide after, then he was accused of murder ?

The old money-lending guy is suspicious ...
I like how in the previous arc they were all like : DON'T trust a prostitute ! and now they help Lilly who is somewhat a bit*h.

How could this possibly end with only 3 episodes? Suppon's arc still didn't end, and we still got Soldier in hand. But I bet Madhouse will just ignore Solider's arc and will come up with a filler ending, just like they did with Claymore.

Yea Turtles has to have radiation poisoning, plus I wasnt expecting Lilly to be cheated like that.

Plus that 1% percent lender kinda gives me bad vibes, but then again this anime has viewers thinking no adult can be trusted cause odds are he/she are either perverts or just trying to scam you.

I think it's coming from http://cal.syoboi.jp/tid/1915/time (the symbol at episode 26 is END), and that is a fairly reliable site. That being said, 26 doesn't seem right.

Hmmm, in Rainbow, America fucks Japan hard. Guess it goes with the times (50's). Apart from that, the episode didn't interest me that much, I didn't even recall who this Lily girl was in the beginning, and that's probably one of the main problems of Rainbow : the script is not developping the characters, it's only resolving anecdotes in the lives of the main 6 characters and then switching the points of views, nothing more, and no real focus or deepening of their relationship and no main plot to be found here. And it's still overly melodramatic to my tastes. But well, it was not a bad episode either, just your traditional Rainbow episode.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

Hahah :) Cool discussion! You're all repeating the same thing. Either "Poor Turtle" and what's wrong with him, or "How could it possibly be?! Only 3 eps left?! Oh noes!", "Poor Lilly, die evil american!" or "Who was Lill again?" Oh well...guess you still haven't understood that anime based on manga is almost bad as movie based on a book. What do you expect? To reveal the whole story, to be just like the manga but animated...Well noooooo~ If you're so curious about what's with Turtle, Soldier's sotry, Sakuragi's past and blah blah everything else, just read the manga and stop getting histerical about how the anime couldn't possibly end properly in only 3 eps. Gah!

The issue is that it's indicative of bad storytelling and a bad adaptation. You talk about manga/anime or book/movie adaptations as though they're all as bad as this, and that's not true. There are anime adaptations that manage to not be redundant, lack development, or with intelligent storytelling. Rainbow isn't one of them. What are you doing if you have to look at the source for the stories regarding the main characters?

Yep...You're absolutely right :] I do admit there really are animes based on manga, that are so much better than the manga itself, but let us be a bit more realistic...About 90% or even more of the movies/animes based on book/manga are just *how to put it best?* good for nothing boring trash :] Excluding the books and movies considering this is after all an anime/manga site...that would be over 20 sh*tty animes I can possibly think of in this moment...10 more mins and I'll be able to prepare quite a long list with bad animes based on manga :]

Well, I could (and have) argue that Rainbow is good for nothing, boring trash, so I'm not really sure what you're trying to say. And again, Just being better than the source isn't good enough, because (frankly) a lot of the time the source isn't all that great. I'm talking about a good adaptation, which is not the same as copying over the manga 1:1. Just look at my anime list. Some sixes and all 7+ I would consider relatively successful adaptations. Sure, there's more shit, but that can be found in any medium. You don't just shit out gold. It takes hard work and thoughtfulness.

Rainbow lacks all of that and is no better than most of the other bland and pandering shows I've seen this year.

the show doest not have no goal, no shit.. its just randomly stories about some boys.. some eps were pretty kewl-ish, some are average.. thats all.. though i wouldn't say its a terrible boring show that doesnt deserve watching..

Well you got me wrong on my oppinion of Rainbow...Like would I be watching it if I didn't enjoy it or something. Nah...I like it. About the adaptation you're talking about...yeah, I could agree. People mainly wish to see a good anime, despite what the main source is. And even sometimes it's better not to know the original work :D

And I could argue with smokes on that post..."No goel, no shit"
I think the anime is quite intelligible and meaningful. I suppose you don't know any boys who've been in reformatory...Well I do, I've also read a lot about 'em and seen some interesting shows and movies. In some reformatories it's even worst than jail, and I can tell because I know people who've been/are in jail and people who've been/are in reformatory. You have no idea how realistic and sane this anime is. Excluding few fantastic moments (like good guards, so many boys in one cell, possible/easy breaking out) everything else is absolute truth. I assume one of the goals of the anime is to show people what's really going on, an invocation for help, shouting "how can everyone be so ignorant, blind and overlooking". But in the end that's just my oppinion, no offense ;p:D

Wow, watching 23 episodes of a show you think is trash... that strikes me as pretty retarded. Highshool of the Dead strikes me as one of the most terrible shows this season that could have been great, but I don't dutifully watch every episode of it. That would be masochistic to my brain.

Anyway, I'll believe the 26th episode is the last one if and only if the preview for it says it is. I remember when everyone was certain this series was only 13 episodes long, too.

Wow, the way women are treated in this anime pisses me off to now end. The majority of the women make a living as prostitutes. Though even Setusko, who was lucky enough to be born in a wealthy family, eventually gives up her job as a nurse and dedicates the rest of her life as a wife.

It's sad to know that they have no means to provide for themselves and are forced to either rely on the men or to become prostitutes in order to survive within a male-dominant society.

Man Suppon :( I take it back that Joe might be the worst off. He's getting off the black market now and going to help out the 1% lender (who I'm not sure if is actually a good guy), but his "attacks" or whatever are happening more often...he really needs to go see the doctor instead of worrying about everyone else all time, though I guess it's in his nature to. Poor Lily too, even though she had a feeling it would end up this way and tried to save up money, it's too bad that she didn't put it somewhere safer.

Probably b/c the guy he punched was Japanese so that American soldier didn't care too much. Wouldn't be surprised if he had been sent to jail if the guy he punched was American.
