This episode turned out to be a real adventure. Thanks to science, their inventions, and a crew of creative minds, they're able to sail their journey across the open seas for their mission.

Captain Ryusei and Senku played some key roles during this journey so far. Mankind has been wiped so it's up there to fufill a journey. I love Senku's confidence in this, as usual. Tbh, this might be one of their most complex mission yet just seeing how vast the world is.

They’ve hot air balloons, then they’ve cameras, which is a great combo to help in the search for oil. But these people have a habit of doing things in a roundabout way lol, as now they’ve someone like Francois to help them make food, we’re talking about starting a restaurant, furthermore developing a menu too. But look at the work of fate, these people were searching for truffles, though what they found in turn was a pool of black smudge or what it looked like at first, but it was OIL itself.

The boars who were there merely for the purpose of serving first rate meat, in turn helped them find the Sagara oil field. Now with oil being acquired, there comes the fuel we can make out of it, Gasoline. Yes, gasoline.. in the stone world. Senku and his crew came a loooong way, I mean they’re travelling in motor boats.. sightseeing, and not just that, they’re even talking about developing something as advanced as GPS. Fucking GPS lmao.

Though it was during the GPS testing, we got that ominous static, which shook things to the core. A voice asking “WHY”... hell yeah now we’re talking. Getting near to that big reveal now, just few more episodes and it'll be there.

The search for the Sagara Oil Fields continues with the handy-dandy Daguerreotype camera invention, and the wheat agriculture looks to be even better, now that actual food can be made through chef Francois. But Francois can't do this alone, and she inquires the help of Suika and her dog Chalk to find wild boars and other than farming black mushrooms, using the boars to get black truffle (though eventually turning to Calk to get them). And soon enough, thanks to Kohaku inspecting one out-of-place photo taken, the Sagara Oil Fields is discovered. But the oil is truly finding a needle in a haystack, and in the middle of the dense forest, it's hard to spot out of a high cliff.

But they need not worry, because thanks to the wild boar, it's not just black truffles, but the Sagara Oil Fields that it mamages to lead Senko and Co. right to its eventual area. Boars are typically eaten, but since Sgara is used to help in the oil search, might as well give it a reason to live. A test by using the same oil as gasoline used for a motorboat to seek the new world, it's a new thrill. But with the motorboat, they need accurate coordinates, and GPS navigation is all they need with the lighthouse serving as a beacon. And despite Ruri and Chrome's conversation getting cut, it's something that is more ominous: a conversation happening through Morse code.

Looks like things are about to kick into high gear, will it be the mastermind behind the petrification 3700 years ago? Now I'm pumped for the next episode!

I like the aspect of rediscovering the Earth, this season really deserve the name New World.
And the end is very surprising, I expect the first ever confession call from oversea, which is already good enough for me, but the morse code intervention make it even better.
Oh, and Tsukasa resting in a big pyramid structure is really romantic. Reminds me of Taj Mahal, the housing tomb the rich make for the love one.

Oil has been acquired, and the big kicker this episode, definitely the static from potentially the mastermind behind the petrification, finally some big story progression it seems.

Turning on that radio signal changed the game. Now the science kingdom has intercepted contact with another group of people. Somehow alive in the stone world even though that shouldn't be possible, unless they're the one whom caused the petrification. This is a big turning point for the story, they've been looking for oil to pose their ship, now having found some another problem arises. Great episode seeing them all using the sky photos for not only finding oil but also finding food to harvest for winter. Much easier to find that and a wider array than the village has had over the years. Those harsh winters will definitely be a thing of the past. Suika returning to help with the oil and food hunt was awesome! She's the best scavenger they've got since she knows these surrounding woods so well. Using the boar meat and truffles too so Francois can make a delicious sustainable meal for their ship voyage. Save for that one Suika befriended, it can stay. But its awesome they finally found the oil, that's a big step and nicely timed with this Morse code message they just received. Both food and oil have been acquired meaning things will pick up now

Another great worldbuilding episode. Truffles and oil acquired and we’re one step closer to the journey across the ocean. Turning that radio signal on reminded me of Ant Man Quantamania lol. Served as a beacon to everyone that there’s people out there.

Why man’s morse code message was chilling. I didn’t like this arc too much in the manga cause it was weekly and didn’t flow together like this, but it’s been very enjoyable seeing this animated. Can’t wait for next episode

The starting and middle of the episode was entertaining but the end sacred me when the radio started making the noise and what Senku said was really creepy. Senku's face in the end was scary.

I've got chills throughout my whole body in the last scene where they've made contact with an unknown being screaming "WHY,WHY,WHY,WHY" in morse code. I did not expect this episode to end like that, it caught me off guard. What a fucking ending, and it's only the third episode. They've found oil which they've used to fuel the boat and currently are in the making of a GPS. It's going at a steady pace so far, but it seems like they're stopped in their tracks at the moment.

Senku ain't scared, he's excited.

The technological advancements in this episode was pretty satisfying. Thanks to a boar who is now best pals with the adorable Suika, Senku has now acquired the oil fields needed to move the ultimate plan one step closer towards completion. This resulted in the creation of the speedboat which he, Ryuusui, Gen, Chrome and Ukyou all went out into the open sea.

Frome there, they could finally unleash their new radio tower at Tsukasa's old base so that phone signals and communications would be easier. Just as a call between Ruri and Chrome got into a pretty awesome moment, it was interrupted by a morse code message, which certainly did well to make me a little surprised with a spooky transition to someone shouting "Why?!" multiple times. While it startled everyone else aside from Ryuusui, Senku got all fired up and made his return message, along with his favourite saying. It was an exhilarating moment, that's for sure! XD

I also liked the duo team of Suika and Francois as they worked together to find some truffles for the planned restaurant. I hope they work together again in the future, too! =D

So not only they discovered an additional food source in truffles, but they have also discovered the ultimate finite resource in oil. With oil they can make gasoline for fuel and they used it to test out the new speedboat. Senku thought it would be a good idea to use a GPS system using the land based radio tower that they build using its full signal strength. Before Chrome and Ruri can communicate with each other, a strange powerful signal emerge in the form of Morse code message stating "Why?" as in "Why are you doing this?" Senku suspects that it may be the person who caused the petrification 3700 years ago sending everyone into the literal stone age. Is this the First Contact with the enemy? We'll have to wait next week. Damn that cliffhanger.

That's great, science is progressing so fast already, and thanks to the boar they have gasoline already and they can start putting antennas to have a GPS that's insane already.. though that ending is very worrying... main antagonist is here?
