| Yoh got probably the most beautiful slap he ever exprienced this episode LOL. He deserved it. I must say, this arc diving into Anna's personality is quite interesting, even more so than her character from the present timeline. Matamune is also an interesting character, showing way more human traits than I had expected. |

| Continuing on Yoh's backstory to meeting his fiancée Anna, and she's every bit as we figured at the start, except that she's a shut-in and that words will not faze her but action. Yoh is quite perceptive to demons, and Matamune clears that blurred line, but of course Yoh isn't gonna get a clear-cut answer to that. The Beyblade reference aside, when it comes to Shamans and their powers to defeat Hao, it's clear that the Asakura family has already planned this for a long time. The surprise coincidence meet and Yoh being Yoh that he has no basic manners, and earning his first milestone slap from Anna is very sublime. Anna's curse of spirits and demons chasing after her when she is outside, and while Yoh is being a hero to save her life, I find myself more invested in Matamune's history with Hao whom he killed and dedicated his life to him, the former Great Onmyoji master who is kind who turned into a brute in his aim to become the Shaman King. Would be interesting to see how Matamune will aid Yoh to open up Anna's heart the Thousand-Year Ghost. 3rd new ED by saji, and this is a soulful song, the best ED ever yet. |

| This arc has been really great so far. Anna being strong as fuck, makes a lot of sense now. She was able to easily take Hao's shikigami's. The difference is, Anna has Yoh and she doesn't end up being consumed by the Oni's, plus she's also in more peaceful times. I really like seeing a younger Yoh though, before he became an absolute stoner chad. That slap was hilarious lmao. Really looking forward to the next episode |

| I really liked that we got some new info on Anna as well as her and Yoh's beginning of relationship. Getting to know more about Hao through the cat's story was great too. And I loved the new ending! Finally something good op/ed wise (imo)! |
| This episode was nice to see. Also looking at Hao at the same time is pretty interesting. I still find it hard to try and understand why Hao still wants to exterminate all humanity. Is it because he saw the evils in humanity or something like their greed is more disgusting than it needs to be? And Matamune has a connection with him which is also shocking. Anna does not go outside because of what she can do. She can read minds/hearts. Then having demons go to her and they become terrifying creautres that does collateral damage. Matamune and Yoh are the only ones to help Anna open her heart or just help her in general. |

| This arc has been pretty engaging so far. Looking forward to seeing how Yoh and Matamune will manage to help Anna control her powers. |

| I find Matamune and his perspective on Hao to be very interesting. I'm enjoying the Asakura backstory. However, I do not like Ana not even as a 10 year old. I'm not too fond of Yoh's ba-chan either at this point. |

| It doesn't make sense, Yoh's grandma say that to awake Yoh's hidden power they need someone with strong powers like Anna, however we saw that Yoh's real power was "awakened" because Anna read Hao's diary so, so far she didn't show any hints of her "great" powers. |
| Matamune was once Hao's ally in the Heian period but fought Patch Hao alongside Yoh's previous incarnation, You ken. Anna has telepathy and in this point in time attracts demons wherever she goes. By the time of the Shaman fight, she has more control over her powers and isn't such a downer. |
