That is one strange entity they encountered, looks like something from Horizon Zero Dawn.

I found this episode rather thrilling following more of Toriko and Sorao's adventures. I don't trust the military in this show much and seems like the duo found themselves into some dire trouble.

Another creepy episode. Glad that Sorao and Toriko managed to escape those glitches.
Soon they met up with the U.S Army as they're actually marines in Okinawa and they themselves got trapped on the other side. Let's see how Toriko and Sorao will manage to get out of there this time around.

Damn this entire episode was very unnerving. From the repeated scenes of Sorawo and Toriko walking to meeting the US marines in the otherside. Felt like the twilight zone or something.

I wonder what the truth is about the station and about the otherside as a whole. Could it be an alternate reality of earth or the future? Lots of questions remain. Can these military guys really be trusted? Guess we’ll find out.

Loved this episode, this anime knows how to do suspense well.

The English was surprisingly good, and grammatically correct too from what I could tell; not a common occurrence in anime.

I almost feel sorry for the sheer effort the staff in the sound department is trying to pull. I wonder if they're really going to do 'both' parts of Kisaragi back to back, which would make it 3 episodes in a row, or if they're going to jam another file between them, as it was supposed to be before shuffling the arcs around. Although that comedy snippet after the ED makes me think that they're maybe cutting part of the content of what happens while in the camp out.

Anyway, the pacing in this episode was a lot more adequate to the tone, it let beats linger better and the character acting - specially Toriko's during the first sighting of the mule monster - was decent. I mean, it isn't hard to make the Otherside look creepy at night, there's a lot of leeway there, unless one completely fucks up, which, on this occasion, they didn't.

Arc 3: Station February (or Kisaragi Station in the manga).

The moment when the waiter anncouned that the abardmont's moment has come, it went from 0 to 100 in creepiness...almost as if both Sorawo and Toriko had unknowingly reached the Otherside.

Plus some corpses with the effect of glitches, from the facing of faces to reaching the help of U.S. Marines and the surprisingly acceptable broken English, getting out of the Otherside for all parties won't be an easy walk in the park.

The suspense of this episode was really built-up well from the slow pacing of this arc's 7 manga chapters, going for EXACTLY half the arc's length. Hope this story continues next episode.

Most importantly, this episode's pacing was much better than last episode's extreme pace-rush through the 10 chapters of Arc 4: "Time, Space, and a Middle-aged Man".

It was pretty fun to see Toriko drunk, but well they're already in a bad/strange situation, the marines are stuck on the other side for almost 1 month damn, that's so much, and obviously there are very strange monsters once again fortunately the marines saved Toriko and Sorao, now I don't know how they can escape, but for sure it's related to the station

Not the biggest fan of the last two episodes. Last time I hated the decision to have the ending seem like a joke thing with Kozakura staying on the Otherside and now they only mention her being back, but in a setting that already seems like they are still trapped (I kept having that feeling, especially since Toriko ate humanly impossibly amounts). The rest of the episode was unnerving, but I hope it'll turn more interesting again.

I really wonder whether they paid the bill in the end or not since not sure if the guy collected their money...But whatever Toriko eats a lot, shne drinks, she top. Simple.
Still the plot was kinda hmm not really interesting and the military thing...well dunno about that

finally, they slow down a bit
but man I don't understand why they removed the part that Toriko asking Sorao about her eye color

this really stupid they changed the eye color but they didn't include the explanation, the best thing in this anime is the ost if someone got the ost and put it on the manga with the voice will be perfect lol

That sure was an expensive apology but considering you left her alone and unarmed in hostile territory thats a fair price. Toriko though sure ordered half the menu there. So the other side can also infiltrate the real world as well. As creatures go the mechanic ostrich here sure is the most creepy. Still their saviours sure were unexpected. Lost yanks from Okinawa huh. An entire company of marines huh. Looks like there are other stations along the line that remains active though. But being taken into the midst of a military base sure is a tough experience for the girls. Overall an interesting ep that while featuring some excellent tension and world expansion also introduced an interesting mystery in the form of how widespread the other side is expanding in the world.

I find it interesting that Funi missed the joke when the waiter gave the warning to the girls - the waiter didn't say "abardmont", he said "Aburakurasu", or "Oil crow". Then out from the dark flies a giant oil-dark crow...

Toriko is such a glutton, the amount of food she ordered is just unbelievable. They are also enjoying souvenirs from the Otherside, like that faint glow hat. I shall agree that it looks creepy. This guy at the restaurant was creepy, the Otherside can influence the behaviour of people on Earth.

They were casually walking on the street and all these weird things happen one by one. Sorawo knew something was up. And now they are in the Otherside. Looking at the side effects that going to the Otherside has… one should not go there. There are supernatural forces attracting them to the Otherside. And at this point, even Toriko is not in her right mind… Not safe.

They could hear clattering sounds and now there is a huge owl/bird in the air.

“Satsuki said that its dangerous at night”, yea obviously. They have no guns, and the grass is moving. The amount of anxiety they must be having at this point must have been crazy. Well it’s a distinct possibility that wearing Lady Hasshaku’s hat could have created an opening to the Otherside.

Apparently, time works the same in both the worlds.

Just when they were actually about to sit put… there is some bird like creature. And it has bodies with it, meaning it can kill. Glitches are the most important thing you have to be careful about, the fact that there are so many makes it really unfair to be honest. Along with the bird creature, there is some glowing creature as well, looks quite creepy. Climb that steep hill, quick!

Cool, there are train tracks in the Otherside, also the glowing/faces creature is following them, its fast. They are saved by gunshots at the last moment, how did Toriko even know that someone was firing? Must be level 9000 senses.

Looks like soldiers from the army, also they speak English… American? What was up with that Minotour thing? The big bird like creature was following it as well.

For voice actings, they got some good English going on, these people are well coordinated and are well versed with military terms. So they are US forces based in Japan, MARINES. So even these marines have no idea how they got here. They are also keeping track of time, that’s quite good.

Wow, so the bird creature was a robot owned by the marines and was mutated when it came to the Otherside… Poor comrades got eaten by the robot mule.

Even machines are affected, no good. That’s a red flag. The station which serves base is called February… I feel something is wrong here. So these abandoned stations have electricity coming from God knows where… no power lines, nothing…

Yo, I thought that, those 8-10 people was the entire squad, looks like they have a complete base camp here, very impressive.

Funny post credits scene, Crank call. Nice.

This is starting to get more interesting now that the girls are trapped in the Otherside with the Marines. Hopefully we will learn some more about how the Otherside actually works and transports people there. It irritates me so much when anime don’t get actual english speakers when the characters are supposed to be American. It just shows that they do not care enough to go the extra mile.

This is the first episode I felt they really got truly right. Everything before this felt too rushed, and that's the wrong approach for a series like this. You need to slow down to build intrigue, create the setting, and establish a consistent tone. This episode finally does that.

It actually manages to match (if not surpass) the manga and LN versions of this part of the story.

Cool episode but I'm kind of confused about Sorawo's eye, at first it was blue in and out of the otherside, then it was only in the otherside, now it's gone to being back to completely normal, but she still has it's power? also Toriko's hand is still the same in and out of the otherside unlike Sorawo which is another question mark for me.

This is such a minor, minor spoiler that I think it's fine: she uses a colored contact lens.

The LN even mentions her taking it out each time she uses her eye's power or goes to the Otherside, though the manga often glosses over that part. The anime appears to have skipped the explanation completely, which is a little silly because it would have only taken a couple lines of dialogue.

Not gonna lie, when I saw that thing walking... the first thing that came to my mind wasn't bodies hanging down it's belly XD

Kind of interesting though, that the machine those military had with them to carry bodies actually turned into that giant walking machine. Even the bodies were included, I would almost think there's some kind of shapeshifting power on the Otherside. I bet that horned-man might have been human before.

But damn, that's quite the military operation present in the Otherside. Still so many questions though, but stuff seems to become a bit more interesting. Music was pretty damn good this episode.

They don't exactly know where it is or where they are, they entered randomly.

Having read the other sources for this arc, this episode was alright. It kept the atmosphere mostly, and barely changed the beginning. I figured they'd make this a 2 parter.

Also.... did they really rearrange the events of the LN and add filler just so the Kisaragi Station (Station February) arc started on February first?......

2 college girls in a camp of like 50 dudes that haven't seen a woman in over a month, what could possibly go wrong?

I don't know why they would say they don't know how to get home and leave it at that. Sure, you might not know where you currently are in relation to the door you normally use but it's better to give a hint of usefulness and hope in a situation like this and explain yourself a little better rather than be like "We dun know. We dead weight, lol.".

Excellent episode. That one Marine looks awfully young to be a Master Sergeant but then military accuracy is rarely a forte of anime. Maybe he's just got a baby face ;)

I am enjoying the visual queues given for the Otherside. I liked the transition this time as well.

Looking forward to the girls combining their knowledge and skills with that of the Pale Horse next week!

So I have a small issue with this episode, and it is more related to the tactics used by the Marines in the episode. It is all about the 3 "S's", but that is probably due to the creator not knowing it.

The English was ok, but what was the French accent from one of them.

Pretty spooky episode, I agree with the others here that the tone and pace was really good for this one, that camel robot monster reminded me of the War of the Worlds tripods, so it was pretty creepy. I like the inclusion of the U.S. Military, but something tells me they’re not gonna be the nicest guys to hang with lol, I feel like being in the Otherside for a month cannot be good for the mind. Also, Station February on February 1st, nice timing lol.

How the hell did they get to the otherside just because of the hat. The otherside just casually yoinked them while they're eating.

How does the military have all those cars and equipment, did those go to the otherside too along with them.

The mystery and suspense elements just getting stronger this time. Its not just these time, they both got trapped unintentionally, they met another creepy creatures: Abardmont. Lol. I thought they must be fight against that huge bird. Guess, its just a passed by creature, when the actual deal were that machine and its master.

Sublance, eh? Quite a strange name, i even need to google it and found nothing. But, whatever, they both truly got lost this time. But, its not just them. Because somehow another human beings got lost onto that otherside world too. Yeah, a bunch of US soldiers. They even held a base there, what a brave decision. Lucky encounters? Still, in the other side, i feel something bad might be happened to the girls with those kind of looks. You know what i mean? I hope its wrong, and they are ended up in a safety. Because, well, they need to solved that mysterious world's mystery. Or no, and decide to go out? Maybe its a better solution. Lets see whats the deal with that lost battalion armies.

I'm appreciative of drunk Toriko, but I'm gonna be completely honest here, this episode was incredibly disappointing. It was mostly just a huge let down. Post US encounter I couldn't take it seriously. The Americans didn't sound American and the English quality varied. At the end they set it up like Sorawo and Toriko were about to become the latest rape victims. It's meant to be intimidating but I felt nothing but disappointment for the CG again.

I'm telling you folks, the music is just simply carrying this anime, I love the way it creeps me.

Anyways what an interesting episode, Kisaragi Station. The cult has found more members as Urasekai anime finally touches this (actually) famous Japanese creepypasta. This time we have Sorao and Toriko having rounds and rounds of food and was about to pay to the waiter. But everything changed as our blondie touches and wore the WHITE HAT, godd--

The creep levels went like a 180 as they walk endlessly and endlessly until they reached Otherside unknowingly. This time they're at night, and nighttime are dangerous! And I can already feel that with that weird huge being with those creepy bodies around it. Thankfully they're saved by the US Marines who are already there for a month. If I'm the two girls now, I might protect my virginity now because those buff military dudes have probably lost their sanity now. Anyways a nice episode, saved by the music and just the idea of the Kisaragi Station being adapted.

@dbaranyi good catch. I had issues with the word (I'm not a native speaker). I couldn't find what it meant. ^^'

That leshen and something outta Jakub Różalski's works combo looked neat. My fav monsters so far.

And each ep so far had a reference to a painting (not sure if all were Klimt), but this episode's reminded me of that image of camels you'd get on the towels from the local market . Dunno if it's my over-interpretation or was it supposed to give us some clue.

The marines look fishy and I'm wondering how they survived for so long. Did they smiply have enough rations?

Their English sounded a bit East European but it's still good imo. And kinda cute. :D It was nice they made the transition betweet one interpreter and the rest of his squad.

Well that land-based carrier was for sure based on his 1920+ universe but his master(?) could blend really well in Witcher world.

The world-building is interesting but as we are almost in the middle of this season I would like some answers to come because the number of question that I have are starting to pile up really fast!

Also, I'm 99% sure that Will Drake (Japanise speaking soldier) is voiced by Suwabe Junichi aka Archer from Fate.
