ok, that ending was beyond absurd lol. i mean, fishy? sure. but to build a skyscraper replica on some deserted island is way over the line haha

at least they've put a good act. Edamura's rant was closer to something sincere than just tricking the mafia

Once again I completely fell for it, before I knew it I got hit hard by reality just like these four suckers.

Magnificently done, truly a magnificent job. Kudos to Wit studio for making such a great story. One more episode to go, let's see how they wrap it up.

Edamura's emotional outburst felt so real, I mean it really is his true feelings but still was all an act. It hit me, my eyes almost teared up. Hats off to his seiyuu, he did an awesome job with this rant.

But I don't understand the ending, they have been using this building for years and how come they didn't notice that this building's just a setting on an island in the middle of the ocean...

Funny episode ha ha. Didn't expect to see the other guy (Eddie) back as well. I expected that they had used this to try "faking" their deaths (fight between fake police and Eddie's guys) and get out of there.

Didn't understand how they suddenly teleported to an island though. Afaik they had been in the city somewhere and the lever only managed to move the floor down.

The painting on the walls was changed ... that might have been a hint to the "trick" behind this.

I am sure along with that acting was Makoto's true feelings. I gotta say they got us good, along with scamming these rich crooks they are also scamming us lmao. That was fantastic.

The ending was fucking stupid but I fucking loved it. They built a whole fucking building on an island! Hahaha XD

Anyway, not gonna lie, Edamame going off like that was the ABSOLUTE BEST! I felt the paint and madness in his voice! Kobayashi Chiaki did a fucking amazing job with that insane scene! His hysterical laughter is almost on par with Miyano Mamoru's Yagami Light maniacal laugh.

I was happy that Edamame lost his shit like that, since he has been manipulated all his life and the constant trauma from the fake deaths. Could've developed it in an interesting way, but nooo...it was all part of the con too. -_-

THE BIG DAY HAS FINALLY COME. More than the psychological fight against mafia gangs, it's Edamura's for the picking that will decide the victor of the entire outcome. And ONE AFTER ANOTHER, all stunts pulled out, and I'd have to say that it was a brillant emotional execution on his part

But I've gotta say, the plot twist of a building on an island...THAT GOT ME SO GOOD.

Call me bamboozled on this one!

That ending was so studied I wish Edaname just snapped and betrayed them all and have the ending be tragedy. That would at least make sense. I might have not been good but still. Also why doe Eddie randomly show up out of goddamn nowhere for the climax of all things?

That explains the new paint! They knew the fake place would smell of new paint, so Makoto had the old building repainted to fool his "co-workers". And the different path that they took to go to the place.

I am really conflicted about the Subaru. She sells kids, which is unforgivable. But, she cares about Makoto, which makes me have a soft spot for her.

So the bulding turns out to be fake. I wonder how they (japanese and chinese mafia) didn't figure that out to the very last moment... I admit I wasn't expecting that either.

Kinda reminds me "Blazzing Saddles", where they build a fake town if I recall correctly.

Edamura's breakdown... I wonder how much of this was fake. It wouldn't be much surprise if at least partially it was real. Because how many times can you get tricked by people who you think of as friends without finally snapping at them?

Makoto's rant was awesome and a part of me does feel that it's real but well played to him, but that fucking ending is... I don't even know what to say about the building twist there. I can't say this was great by any means necessary since the shows that handle twists well have believable ones that could happen but not necessarily expected. This one was absolute bullshit and while I get the fake deaths and the Makoto trolling was a bit too much where that aspect feels a bit too predictable down the line, some stuff is completely unpredictable to the degree where its ludicrous and stupid, not clever. I didn't like this at all when I first saw this but even with rewatching the show and liking it a ton, this portion still felt stupid.

Lmao they are on a fucking island! I hope this was Makoto's idea.

I loved Makoto's rant btw I actually thought he was really betraying Laurent and co. and I would've loved that, they deserve it after using Makoto so many times and lying to him so much.

Sadly, he was part of the whole plan and he'll probably forget them all easily, even though they don't deserve it.

That's it, there go the remaining bits of suspension of disbelief I still had. This series has officially reached stupid levels of lazy writing and its high score will remain a mystery to me from now on. Goddamn, how much I would have wished Makoto to actually kill his father and Laurent and become the only plot twist in this show I could call "good". Absolutely ridiculous.

WHAT? That was insane. I kinda wish Edamura's rant was completely genuine and not part of some 5D chess big brain plan. Still I imagine is was partly his real feelings. This does explain why they were painting the real office but how tf did they get both teams into this fake building without realizing?

A masterplan, Makito's acting was fantastic (was it an act, prob not, real feelings) and it was probably ketchup again lol. Never thought that we would see Eddie again. What an episode, this was truly a good way to end this arc. Perfect!
The plot twist of the bulding was the best thing xD Makito's VA is a legend and congrats WIT studio for making such a beautiful story with such beautiful animation, ost and everything else.

Damn they really fooled us the audience but its worth seeing the blank stare of the Suzaku and the rest when they realised what just happened. Despite it being part of the act for whatever reason (definitely not needed since they already secured the money and held the targets as hostages), it was fantastic to see Edamame go wild and get back at Laurent for all the times he deceived and manipulated him even going as far as including Eddie in it.
